Received the wrong item
Was looking for a large medical kit. Found the Adventure Medical Kit on the backcountry.com website. The 10 person 28 day kit showed up and the only price option was $17.99. I selected 2 kits @ $17.99 each, and felt lucky to have found such a great deal. The photo that shows up next to my order is the 10 person 28 day medical kit. However, I received 2 of the Day Tripper Lite kits. Even now when you select the Day Tripper Lite kit, it shows the Mountaineer kit which is the 10 person 28 day version. I contact customer service via chat and after explaining myself multiple times. The backcountry rep offered to exchange the med kits, but then told me that I would have to pay full price for the replacement kids. I have no use for the smallest kits, and would never have ordered them. I am not a happy customer.

Not worth $70
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is a handy kit, but I feel misled by the picture on this product, as it is for the mountaineer series kit which includes things that the options here do not include. I got the explorer kit for $70 and I can't help but feel that I could have put this together for $30 bucks and some time in my medicine cabinet. I am going to add to the kit to round it out, which means I probably should have just put together my own kit from the start. The organization of it and the helpful booklet for different scenarios are quite nice though.

No tourniquet
Overall it’s a nice boo-boo kit but there is not much for serious bleeding.

Medical Kit
You really can’t write a true review unless you use the product. In this case hopefully you won’t need to use this kit. I purchased this as a precautionary measure. It appears to have everything needed.

A Medkit is a must for anyone heading into the Backcountry and I have an Adventure Medical Kit in every one of my backpacks. Even their larger kits are compact and well organized, making it easy to find what you need quickly in a stressful situation. Definitely don't head out without one.
