Although I picked these up from my local outdoor shop (I find it hard to buy shoes/boots online), I like these so much I am compelled to write a review. I have a bad back and knees and my local shop stated with Altra’s zero drop design, they might be a good bet. I am 50, 5’10”, 190 lbs. I am not new to hiking but it has been a minute. I have been hiking a lot lately and I was not a fan of the pair of Hoka’s my wife made me buy. I have been out in these several times now and they are truly broken in. Just this past weekend I did a 8 mile hike up on my local mountain. The wide toe box is great for trail feel, and these things are mad grippy on the rocks. Time will tell about durability, but with 20 miles on em so far, sole still looks new. Feet have been comfortable during hikes, and any pain or discomfort I’ve experienced is probably my feet/ankles getting used to longer distances again. I had a little arch pain on my left foot, but it went away quickly when I was done. If they keep doing for me what they have been thus far, I would not hesitate to buy them again.
