Streamline ski travel with the All-Around Double Ski & Snowboard Rolling Bag

"My partner and I love not having to bring two board bags on our trips, and the streamlined roller design makes flying with equipment less cumbersome. We also didn't realize how much we would appreciate that the Backcountry Boot Bag can attach right to this bag." —Gearhead® Expert Alex

When it’s time to hit the slopes far from home, the Backcountry All-Around Double Ski & Snowboard Rolling Bag makes sure our gear travels as safely as we do. Whether we’re jetting off to a powder-filled resort or road-tripping to backcountry terrain, this bag’s generous capacity fits two pairs of skis or snowboards with ease. Its durable materials and padded interior provide peace of mind, while the wheels and ergonomic handles make hauling gear a seamless process.

Beyond its protective features, we appreciate the thoughtful touches like multiple interior compartments for securing poles, helmets, and boots. The water-resistant design keeps moisture out, and reinforced seams hold up to repeated travel abuse. With this rolling bag, our ski and snowboard adventures begin the moment we pack it up.

Poor Quality, Poor Customer Service

The functionality of this bag is great, but the quality was terrible. After one ski trip the hooks to hold the boot bags ripped off, which was one of the selling points of getting both the ski bag and the boot bag. Then since I couldn't carry the boot bag on the ski bag, I carried it around my shoulders, but then the shoulder strap also ripped off of that. So all around very poor construction and quality. I reached out to backcountry warranty department twice in the last 4 months and no response. I've never had bad experience with customer service with outdoor companies until now.

Decent design but with quality Issues.

The design is what I was looking for- A bag that could be used for skis or snowboard and with enough space to store all other gear. This bag works for that pretty well, but when I took it on my first trip, I got off the flight and noticed punctures and scratches all over the bag. Now after a few more trips, there are 3 inch long tears and I can feel the straps breaking. The material just feels thin. Also the roll top system on the top needs some sorting out, even when rolled as tight as possible, it sags making it awkward to pull. I've had a Patagonia snowboard bag for years and taken it on dozens of trips, still with no holes or tears. Id love to see a revamp of this bag with better material. The design is really close to being a great bag. Thanks Backcountry.

Poor Quality

Thoughtful design, quality is very poor. The boot bag loops that you can clip in the matching boot bags ripped with first use. Boot bag is also terrible which the shoulder strapped completely ripped off, with my first travel trip with it. Also don't expect warranty with this company to fix anything either. I have reached out twice in the last 3 months and no response to fix my issues with their bags.

Great for airport travel

Pretty solid bag and does hold up well when it comes to the material, but they could use a lot better reinforcing on the handles in the center of the bag, a could times I heard stitches pop and without stronger bar tacks I see why. Still a really convenient bag to have for travel. Though the backpack is pretty useless trying to get it to clip on top, no real way to secure it and the attachment points are way too weak for a bag with ski boots in it.

Great expectations!

I was really stoked about this bag but it fell apart within a few uses. Unfortunately there is not much flexibility in the bag and it ripped at the seam on a recent trip to Snowmass. I had to return the bag. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you are only going to put skis in the bag and absolutely nothing else.

Great Design/Bad Quality

I was initially so psyched by the way they designed the bag so thoughtfully with all the right pockets on top of the bag, inside detailed compartments for poles and skins. The bag fits everything you would want. However, I took it on one trip out to Tahoe and there were 4 holes in the bottom of the bag when I picked it up from the gate. Not to mention when I was lugging the bag around I heard multiple seams stripped from the handles. The quality of this bag is a joke. I had my last ski bag for 15 years. It's a shame to put so much thought into the design but execute the materials poorly. I hope Backcountry can fix the quality issue because the design is flawless.

Falling apart on first use

Familiarity:

I was stoked about this bag. I've had a couple different Backcountry bags and they have all been amazing, until this bag. I wouldrecommend them to friends, I won't be anymore. It seems the quality has gone downhill I expected the outside to take some abuse with air travel. I did not expect the inside to start coming apart the first time I used it. I haven't even used the pocket where it has started to fall apart. Hopefully backcountry can fix their quality issues

Excellent bag, compression straps on inside and outside help secure your gear. Love the roll top, since we have several sizes of skis.

best soft side bag ive used

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

i just had to replace this bag. first one lasted three seasons and fifteen or so round trip flights, some one leg some two. i load my bag heavy and expect it to be abused by baggage handlers. the handles are well thought out, the wheels have held up well, but bottom line its a wear item. couple things: -i lay my skis flat, side by side, and use burly rubber bands to hold the brakes in the up position. -i beefed up wear points with flex seal tape as they wore through. -i use a different boot bag (taken from a dakine roller bag) and put the boots flat on top of the tails of the skis.

Works Great So Far

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought a few months ago. Have used several times for short travel and once for airport travel. Works great. Easy to maneuver when packed up to the 50lb airport weight max. The features are all handy. The velcro roll top is heavy duty - I had trouble opening it so don't think it will ever accidentally open. Smart design with handles and reinforced seams.
