I live in Austin, it is hot and sunny, this shirt keeps me cool better than any other article of clothing I own. I buy one of these almost every month. Favorite shirt, I am now diversifying to the other Tahoe shirts.

Outstanding, lightweight, breathable

Outstanding and lightweight sun hoodie, this is the second one that I have bought in the past year and a half because I enjoyed it so much. I have used this hiking in the Wasatch mountains, rafting the Grand Canyon, and hanging out in the park reading a book. It is so lightweight that even on a hot summer day you don't feel like you are wearing long sleeves and it breathes very well. The hoodie sits naturally on my head with either a cap or no cap on. I bought the OR hoodie as well and I would take the Backcountry Sun Hoodie over OR versions due to lighter weight / more breathable / hoodie sits more naturally on my head.

I love this hoodie for its effectiveness and how light weight it is. Also, good looking to wear. It would be rad if they added a built-in face mask and a arm-sleeve pocket and/or a chest pocket (like their Destination Hoodie) The face mask would of been advantageous when walking through Yosemite when the deer flies were out in mass (and you spend every other step swatting them out of your face) John

Terrible fit and cuffs are annoying

The elastic cuffs on the wrist make it hard and uncomfortable to roll up my sleeves when not in the sun. Additionally, I am 5'9" and 160 lbs and fit a medium shirt in every brand I've ever worn, but the medium size in this sun hoodie is a garbage bag on me. Even a small might've been too big. I cannot recommend

Works great, retained campfire smoke

The shirt is light and comfortable for sun. I have used it around campfires and it took a few washes to get the smoke smell out where other gear doesn't. It doesn't seem to hold smell from a normal hike or outing.

Fits well, feels cool, but smells??

I have been using it for outdoor training and hiking and it's all good. The only drawback is the smell. I didn't notice any smell when receiving it, but after the first wash (just normal tide detergent and a washing machine), it started having an irritating smell. This smell just persists whether it's used or clean. All my other clothes washed this way are good so I don't think it's a problem of the detergent or the washing machine or the dryer.

Love the look and functionality. Have used it fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and just chilling. Material seems to be holding up well, and the fit is great for me. XL at 6â4â and longer than average arms.
