Joker Unicore Golden Dry Climbing Rope

Beal's Joker is a triple-certified climbing rope that you can use as a single line for demanding sport routes, a twin rope for multi-pitches, and a half rope for alpine routes. Its skinny 9.1mm diameter is ridiculously light and thin for packing small, reducing rope drag, and providing a performance ideal for advanced climbers. This version of the Joker features Beal's best. Unicore bonds the sheath to the core to eliminate sheath slippage and enhance longevity, and Golden Dry treats the core and sheath with hydrophobic water-resistance that practically eliminates water absorption. It's UIAA certified for water-resistance in alpine environments, and the treated sheath adds abrasion-resistance for extra durability.

One rope quiver

I’ve used the joker for several months now between sport and alpine climbing. I think it’s one of the best skinny ropes for sport and still holds its own in the alpine. My experience with durability has been good so far, but my favorite thing about this rope is the perfect handling. Stiff enough to clip easily and soft enough to knot well and resist coiling.

I bought this rope 4 months ago and it has been a great change of pace Frome my previous ropes. It’s unicore construction means you won’t get any pig-tailing, or other random rope shenanigans. It’s light weight and handling have made it my favorite rope for alpine climbing and climbs with long approaches. 10/10 great product

Multiple Coreshots

After two routes, my brand new Joker is retired with multiple coreshots. The rope never saw rockfall, and never saw a fall on lead or top rope. There are lots of great ropes in this size range, pick any of those.

Good rope and Bad date

Familiarity:: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The rope was light and soft ,feels great. But? Disappointingly, this rope was produced in 2015,I can only have a very short storage time.
