Why We Like the Crack Climbing Glove
Black Diamond's Crack Climbing Glove gives greater protection when you're hand-jamming splitters and cracks whether it's in the desert or the alpine. Strong, breathable, synthetic suede leather in a 3D pattern provides a next-to-skin fit and crack-specific dexterity. Black Diamond instilled a rubber adhesive seamlessly to the back of the hand for greater protection and grip that doesn't interfere with dexterity or discomfort. Unlike the competition, Black Diamond's Crack Climbing Glove comes in a white color to reduce heat from the desert sun.

Here's what customers have to say
The product is generally well-received as a good alternative to tape gloves for crack climbing. Many users praise the thin, lightweight, and form-fitting design that provides good protection and grip without adding too much bulk. However, the sizing can be an issue, with some finding the gloves too tight, especially in the thumb area, while others find the fit just right after breaking them in. There are also some durability concerns, with the thumb loops or stitching tearing after some use. Overall, it seems to be a solid option for crack climbing, but users should pay attention to the sizing and be cautious about the durability.

Smell the glove
Great glove with good coverage. Not bulky, pretty low profile once you’re in the crack. Been helping my crack habit as I focus my recovery from crimping.

Light and Skin Tight
Excellent gloves that feel like tape or better! Nice thin material that fits snug against your skin. Only drawback is that you need to treat them with care as the finger loops can rip easier than other gloves. Also I find myself tapping the Velcro strap closed as it sometimes gets caught and opens while climbing.

Blood free jams
Feels like you are wearing nothing but when it comes time to really crank on a jam, your skin is protected. What else do you want?

Solid
Had a few pairs of these, definitely my favorite thin crack glove on the market. I do wish the thumb stitch was stronger as i've blown that up and had to resow it before.

Great Fit
I really like how tight they feel on my hands and offer me the same protection as tape but much easier to put on and off. Wish they were a bit sturdier as the back of the hand piece is starting to peel after just a little bit of use.

A+ pair of crack gloves for a beginner
I’ve not been crack climbing for very long, but I really like these so far. They’ve kept my hands much nicer and have quite good grip on the knuckles. I used them out in Indian Creek and had a great time.

Thin and mobile
I've used these for only about 20 pitches on Northern Colorado granite. They are nice and thin with little padding which I am a fan of. The fingers don't stretch a ton but do settle a little bit as you wear them throughout the day. The exposed velcro is my only issue. I find that this strap is stiff and digs into my wrist as I climb. I haven't yet had an issue with them coming undone from abrasion on the rock but I could see it happening in the future. Overall I really enjoy them mobility of these gloves and the thin padding. we will if the velcro softens up in the future.

Like tap gloves
First pair of these and love them, especially for thinner hand cracks. Had the Ocun’s before which I still use occasionally on wider hands as the rubber is thicker than these.

Near Perfect Crack Glove
The thumbs are done right on this glove. Easily repairable, long lasting and they fit well. My wife and I both prefer these over other options.
