Lightweight and compact, the Distance LT 1100 is built to shine on pre-dawn-to-dark endurance days, where every ounce counts. The bounce-free design features a slim, pivoting lens assembly, while the main rechargeable battery housing remains fixed and stable against the headband. Wow its bright
This head lamp is brighter then I expected. It’s comfortable to wear for hours. Easy to use and recharge. BD has made another great product.

No second thoughts if you need one
I've used this so much, as a mechanic, camping, walks, cooking, hikes, rock climbing and more. It's bright and last a long time. Ove had it for over a year and will definitely buy another one if mine where to brake, but as much as I've banged this one up, I don't think that would happen

Should be good for another decade!
This headlamp checked all the boxes for me: USB-C charging, modular/replaceable battery, red LED, and the light burst mode where it gets super bright for a few seconds is something I didn't realize I would love so much. This replaced my other BD headlamp that I've been rocking for over a decade. Excited to step into the modern day with the built-in rechargeable battery and ditch the AAA's for good.

Several unfortunate design flaws in what otherwise could be a good headlamp
I bought this headlamp to run at night, and it is very bright and serves that purpose well. However, I bought an extra (2nd) lithium battery and discovered that it is very difficult and essentially impractical to change the battery under any adverse conditions (i. e. if not at home, inside, with good light and warm hands and dry conditions). To change the battery one must remove the headband — which attaches to the battery and not the light directly — which involves two small parts, one on each side, which are quite hard to move. Then one must open a small catch holding the battery to the light to change the battery. Either one of these tasks alone is difficult enough, but both would be very difficult outside, in dark conditions, or with cold or wet hands, etc. (This headlamp would not be practical for any critical outdoor activity, unless used without the intention of being able to change the battery. ) In addition, as mentioned by another reviewer, the battery can only be charged through the lamp, and therefore can’t be recharged while using the light with a 2nd battery. Several very unfortunate design flaws in what otherwise could be a good headlamp. (If one doesn’t want the ability to use a spare battery, then this headlamp is fine. )

Prepar to love a headlight line never before
I use this product almost everyday for work, grilling, camping, and elct. . . the battery life is very good and use the 1100 every once and a while when needed. Pretty durable and love the look. 100% recommend. If I need a new one im gonna get it.

Great Headlamp, could be better
This is a great headlamp. The balance feels nice and it is plenty bight. My main issue is that it does not remember the brightness that you set in any mode once you turn it off. This is a minor annoyance in a camp setting where I don't need it at 75% brightness (or whatever the default is) when I turn it on to do something. Also would be nice to have a rubber flap or something over the charge port to keep dirt out.

Amongst the many that won't hold charge
Old black diamond is fantastic. Two ones bought more recently do not hold charge. Pay attention to the reviews complaining about the newer headlamps not holding charge.
