Review Summary
Here's what customers have to say
The skin adhesive is effective at renewing and re-gluing climbing skins. It is easy to apply, with the glue being very tacky and sticky to restore old skins. However, some users note the fumes can be strong, so it's best to apply in a well-ventilated area. Removing the old glue can also be time-consuming, though using a heat gun and putty knife helps. Overall, the adhesive is highly recommended for reviving worn-out skins and maintaining their performance.

Surprisingly easy to use!
I was prepared to spend hours applying new glue to my skins. This took about 5 minutes per skin to spread evenly. Hang and let dry overnight, done. I used a popsicle stick to apply, nothing fancy. The time commitment in renewing your skins is in getting the glue off. Use a heat gun (hair-dryer) and a putty knife. No toxic odors on the glue removal step, but the new glue is like rubber cement, probably want to do it outdoors or pre-set up everything and prepare to be done in 5 minutes to limit exposure.

Complete skin re-glue
Read a lot of positive reviews so went with this for the complete re-glue care after stripping off the old glue using a heat gun and a metal scraper. You need about a tube and a half to do both skins. It easy to use too much so be mindful. I was working in an environment that wasn’t too warm and used the heat gun on the tube prior to opening it up which proved really useful in applying and spreading the glue around evenly. Also worked in a well-ventilated space and wore a respirator. Safety first! The skins are currently stored with Black Diamond’s “cheat sheet” skin savers for the summer. I have absolute confidence the glue will perform super well based on all the reviews I’ve read.

Yep, it's sticky alright.
Yep, it's sticky alright, and seemingly more so than the Pomoca glue I used on a different pair of skins last year. Stinky stuff, though - you will definitely want to do this outside.

Superior product
The gold label adhesive is a superior product. I cannot say enough great things about it. One word of caution is When they say use sparingly they mean it. Practice has taught me just how much that is. Less is more.

Worked great
Last February, after 10 or so years. the glue on my Ascension skins seemed to be sticking to everything but the ski bases. With only a few weeks left in my season I went looking for cheap replacements . While in Wilson Backcountry Sports the proprietor suggested reglueing. I was skeptical to say the least. However another customer said that she had reglued her skins successfully. After reglueing and letting it cure, I can say that my skins stick to the ski bases 'as good as new' and worked flawlessly for the next 4 weeks. Highly recommend. With the caviet that the process is critical to the finish. Do the heat and scrape method to remove the majority of the old glue, then iron and brown paper bag to get the residual off. When applying, spread as evenly as possible then use an iron and parchment paper to smooth and even out. Watch some YouTube videos. Do this outside if at all possible. I had to do this in a garage due to outside temps being below freezing and required frequent breaks for fresh air. The fumes are deadly. 1 tube was just enough for my application. 168 x 92 sized skis. Got new skis this year and I came onto this site to purchase new skins, decided to leave a review as I am very impressed with this product being available if you need to reglue your skins instead of needing to buy new ones.

The only glue you want
This is the premium choice for regluing your skins. Does great tail touch ups or redo the entire length once it's torched.
