A chromoly steel head delivers secure placements on alpine ice and firm snow, while the aluminum shaft and included sliding pommel enhance control during tool-assisted climbs or dicey traverses. The cut shaft works double-duty as a spike, while an added clip-in point gives us the option for a leash when needed.
