Glycerin 22 Wide Running Shoe delivers ultra-soft nitrogen-infused cushion and a roomy, stable fit

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"This shoe is my go-to for long, easy miles. The nitrogen-infused midsole really smooths out the ride—it’s super soft in the heel but still gives me a springy toe-off. And the wide fit is a lifesaver when I’m putting in serious volume."

The Brooks Glycerin 22 Wide Running Shoe lets us stack miles in luxurious comfort, thanks to a DNA LOFT v3 midsole that’s nitrogen-infused for a plush yet responsive ride. Tuned cushioning delivers soft landings in the heel and snappy takeoffs in the forefoot, making this shoe a natural pick for long training runs and recovery days alike.

The wide fit provides a bit more space where we need it most—perfect for broader feet or those looking for a more accommodating toe box. Finished with a smooth-transitioning rocker shape and a breathable mesh upper made with 61% recycled content, the Glycerin 22 Wide is built to feel effortless from start to finish.

New Glycerin 22 Review

Great shoes, I really enjoy the new Glycerin 22s. There is one issue I do have though, the toebox is a bit small/narrow rubbing against my big toes. I have done a few runs, for 2 miles not noticeable. But when I go 4 miles or more my big toe starts to hurt pretty bad. I have many other pairs of Brooks Adrenline, Hyperion Max 3, Hyperion Elite 5, older Brooks Glycerins in same size 8s without issue. I wish the toe box was just a little bit bigger not by much. Hopefully I can get a few more runs in as I only have a handful so far, hopefully they break in. Overall outstanding shoes great for high milage or slow recovery runs. The cushion is perfect and it is very stable at slower paces. I would recommend sizing up by half a size if you purchase these shoes.

Bring back Glycerin 21

the 22 model didn't fit well. I had Glycerin 21 and 600 miles on them, the best shoes for everyday easy training.

Rather overpriced

This version is nicely cusioned, for sure, but its simplicity doesn't support the very high price! It does have a more-rounded toe, which is a grade above other major brands. Please seriously consider offering us "X-Wide" customers more colors instead of just one choice. Not every man wants to wear black athletic shoes.

Wides are narrow than the glycerin 21

The wides didn’t feel like wide and were real narrow. Overall was a decent shoe. And the shoe didn’t feel responsive to me.
