Glycerin 22 Wide Running Shoe delivers ultra-soft nitrogen-infused cushion and a roomy, stable fit
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"This shoe is my go-to for long, easy miles. The nitrogen-infused midsole really smooths out the ride—it’s super soft in the heel but still gives me a springy toe-off. And the wide fit is a lifesaver when I’m putting in serious volume."
The Brooks Glycerin 22 Wide Running Shoe lets us stack miles in luxurious comfort, thanks to a DNA LOFT v3 midsole that’s nitrogen-infused for a plush yet responsive ride. Tuned cushioning delivers soft landings in the heel and snappy takeoffs in the forefoot, making this shoe a natural pick for long training runs and recovery days alike.
The wide fit provides a bit more space where we need it most—perfect for broader feet or those looking for a more accommodating toe box. Finished with a smooth-transitioning rocker shape and a breathable mesh upper made with 61% recycled content, the Glycerin 22 Wide is built to feel effortless from start to finish.

Customer Images
Here's what customers have to say
The shoes are praised for their exceptional comfort, cushioning, and overall quality. The plush yet responsive midsole foam provides excellent impact absorption, and the breathable mesh uppers, roomy toe boxes, and sleek design are also noted positives. However, some customers have experienced issues with the fit and feel, reporting less support and cushioning compared to previous versions. While the majority are very satisfied, a small subset have had concerns with the updated design.

Best shoes ever!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 28th pair of Brooks. They are all great but I especially like the latest orange and black glycerin 22. I’m a fan if the glycerin line bust especially the 22 series. I’m a 79 year old man who walks 5 miles 4 times a week and wearing Brooks shoes makes it easy. I love them!!!!

Recommendations
after 4 months of cross-country, I have began to love the Glycerin 22. I found them to be incredibly comfortable and very stable. have found that if you are a fore foot striker the cushion is low to mid, and if you are a mid or heel foot striker it is a lot more comfortable I understand that it is not my place but I would use two types of foam, soft foam in the fore foot, and firmer foam in the heel/mid part of the shoe. thank you, -Cole

Bravo, again, Brooks Team!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As always, I am never disappointed with Brooks! The Glycerin 22 is super comfortable right out of the box and provides cushion in all the places my feet need it. I do a ton of road walking and these shoes are proving to be very comfortable!

Love this shoe! I am a long time Ghost user and the new design had too narrow of a toe box. The Brooks team steered me here and what an awesome and comfortable shoe (and wider toe box). I am 57 and do about 30 miles/week and this just fits me perfect for how I run and train.

Brooks shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are Christmas presents this year. My son has only worn these shoes for 10 or more years and he always wants Brooks shoes for Christmas. I order these every year. He works outside on his feet for his job and these are the only shoes that last and support him. And he is a runner and he runs in them also as he runs in marathons also. They are the best shoes out there.

Solid Pair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable feel on feet. Size ran a little small. Would order half size larger next time for more toe room.

Glycerin for men.
These are the only walking shoes my husband wears. The fit is always great. He loved the limited edition color.

Look Great, Feel Horrible
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Look Great, Feel Horrible. I now have 7 pairs of Glycerin 21's. 4 GTS and 3 regular. They feel and fit great. The look of the 22's is sharp and love the color combos but this shoe kills my feet. 1)They feel soft and mushy. Not as firm as the 21's. NOT A FAN 2) The eylets are set up in an alternating pattern, with ever other one deeper in towards the top of my foot. STRANGLED ME. Couldn't wait to put them on, couldn't wait to take them off. SENDING THEM BACK.

Absolutely love ‘em! I came back to Brooks two years ago after discarding them many years back for other options. Glad I did. Best fit, comfort, wear & tear, support, cushioning.

Decrease in quality
Have been buying exclusively Glycerins for about 10 years. These ones are more uncomfortable than previous models but still an okay shoe.
