Why We Like the Podium Ice Water Bottle
We've been in granny gear for so long and still this hill persists. We push, we breathe, we sweat under the relentless sun. Finally, the road begins to level out, and we reach for the Podium Ice Water Bottle in our cage. With the slightest amount of pressure from our fatigued grip the high-flow valve releases an icy, soul-reviving rush of electrolytes to give our oxygen-deprived muscles some nourishment and courage to pick up the speed.

No stars.Third time I've bought Podium Ice believing the writeup that they are now "easy squeeze". They aren't. I'm a 200 lb. guy and you can't easily one-hand these while riding.

I had the original insulated bottles a few years ago. Then I got the 4X version and was surprised they really made a difference in desert riding. Since they're a few years old I replaced them with the 5X. They really do keep water cooler longer. Death Valley tested.

The new cap is a big improvement. I live in Tucson, AZ and carry one each of the Podium Ice and a regular 24-oz Podium insulated bottle. This way I have cold water throughout the ride.
