Saved my Knees
I'm a field botanist/ecologist who has been using Carhart''s in rugged terrain for over 40 years. While I agree the duck double-front pants aren't quite as rugged as many years ago, the double front material protected my legs and knees from a recent 30-40-foot fall off a cliff. I was extremely fortunate I survived with only a hip fracture, primarily because of busting through a Fraser fir canopy versus a nearby rocky edge. My knees were scuffed in addition to a gouge in my right leg, but the Carhart pants came out unscathed except for bloody spots and a small tear on my rear. I do think wearing the Carhart's helped to protect my legs and knees. I would have kept the Carhart's to wear again, but the trauma team would not allow me to undress myself, cutting them off as seen in the attached images. I will be purchasing another pair of these jeans as well as the iconic type!

I once believed in this trusted brand. After 7 months use there is a whole worn out in my crotch. Keep in mind. I can buy work pants for half the price that last longer. This is the last item I will rver purchase from them.

Good but off
The waist to leg ratio is a bit off. The leg a bit too wide for the waist.

They dont last
The crotches tear out pretty easily. Purchased 4 pair last summer and three have split after less than 2 dozen uses. The fourth is showing signs it about to go. I wear/wore them on the weekends doing projects around the house yard, so they are not seeing full time use. I have another pair of the double fronts I picked up over a decade ago that are still going strong. Purchased an old home last summer I am doing a lot of work to on the weekends and one pair of pants wasnt enough, and thats why I decided to grab some more. I love the knee pad pockets.

Rugged Work Pants
Work pants feel great. They are much more rugged than my blue jeans that seem to last less than 1 year. I plan to buy a few more pairs.

Tough
Tough as nails. The crotch, for me, doesn't ride too low. Only issue with any carhart is shrinking. After about 6-10 washes they shrink a size. Im 34/34 and have to buy 36/36 to keep the pants longer

Comfortable but questionable build quality.
I purchased two pairs of these pants on April 25th 2025 and while they're very comfortable pants and fit well they are not durable. One pair is holding up fine and one has developed holes after 8 wears. I don't think I'll be giving another try to this particular pant again.

Great all-'round pants
These feel true to size. Tough fabric, the little stretch is a nice touch. Wear these a lot.

Great work pants needs a slight modification or change from left side to the right side
If u guys take any suggestions this is it.. make them for right hand people as well and what I mean by that is the hook or whatever u guys call it should b on the right side of the pant so I can put the hammer there instead of my left side
