They work for the heat but looks ?

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I live in Florida so I test "summer" riding gear all year. These do work for the heat quite simply because the panels on the sides of your quads are a "mesh" type material. Not enough that you look indecent or like a weirdo, but your skin tone does slightly show through. I guess depending on your skin tone it is more apparent and visible on lighter skin riders. Regardless, they do work even if just in your mind because they do feel breathable due to their mesh type construction. I purchased one color and coming back for the other as I am pretty pleased with their performance.

Cooler in hot humid weather

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wanted a pair of bib shorts for a hot humid ride. These were the only ones I could really find. The fit was a little weird, but all in all I’d say it works. I wasn’t as hot as I am in my regular bib shorts. The top of the shorts is a little lower and the leg length is a little shorter than my other bib shorts. The chamois was excellent. My only complaint is the shoulder straps. They don’t exactly disappear while you’re riding. One star off for that.

Length won't stay; rides up

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

First off, typical Castelli sizing: needed a L (where normally would wear M). Issue I have with them is that the legs won't stay pulled down; thighs ride up in no time. Seems like it has a good thigh grip... so I believe the problem is with the meshy material along the side; it wants to "bunch up". Otherwise good bib shorts. Castelli needs to make these longer though. Can't recommend as they are; won't buy this version again.
