We take the Cervélo Áspero Apex XPLR AXS when the trail stretches from smooth gravel punches to dirt-strewn turns. Its updated carbon frame (with threaded T47 BBright, universal derailleur hanger, and refined internal routing) improves comfort and serviceability. The Trail Mixer fork keeps steering consistent whether rolling on 700c or 650b, while dropped seat stays temper rough miles.

The SRAM Apex XPLR AXS system delivers smooth 1×12 wireless shifting via a 40T crank and wide 11–44T cassette for real-world terrain. Hydraulic disc brakes ensure crisp control. Reserve 30 GR aluminum wheels, wrapped in WTB Vulpine 700×45 mm tires, keep rolling fast and grippy. Smartpak top-tube storage, cockpit compatibility, and accessory mounts support fully equipped gravel days.
