We ride the Cervélo Áspero Apex XPLR when our route demands flexibility and speed. Its carbon frame features improved compliance with dropped seat stays, threaded T47 BBright, internal routing, UDH-ready dropout, and generous tire clearance—up to 700 × 45 mm or 650b × 47 mm—ready for varied terrain and conditions. The Trail Mixer fork allows steering to feel consistent, whether rolling on 700c or 650b wheels.

The SRAM Apex XPLR 1×12 wireless drivetrain includes a 40T crank and a wide 11–44T cassette for capable gearing across flats, climbs, and everything in between. Rolling on Alexrims GX7 wheels wrapped in WTB Vulpine TCS Light Fast Rolling 700 × 45 mm tires gives us traction, smooth rolling, and reliable tubeless setup. Smartpak top-tube storage brings on-the-go fueling within easy reach while keeping the bike clean and fast.
