Like the rest of Club Ride's "jerseys," the New West is cut to emulate casual clothing. In fact, it fits more like a proper shirt than a jersey, making it perfectly acceptable for a night out on the town. Beneath its casual fade, the New West hides a lightweight synthetic material that emphasizes saddle-worthy qualities like wicking moisture and drying quickly. The body fabric is also plenty breathable, but summer rides can be sweaty affairs, regardless of exertion levels, and Club Ride adds strategic venting to further enhance breathability and help ensure you aren't the damp, clammy guy queueing up for potato salad or another round.

Great shirt, no quality control by CR

I had a Club Ride shirt from 10 years ago that is a mainstay, so I decided to try the New West in Mood Indigo/Midnight Paisley. This shirt was great 5/5, and I liked it so much I wanted a different color that I could wear on biking dates... Ordered the Buffalo colorway, looked nothing like the pictures of this color anywhere and horrible with crooked stripes. The logo looked totally different and obnoxious as well... No one from the company approved this pattern before production. Same with a Detour shirt: huge logo, colors totally different and the flowers on it have a shaded look. This cost me $9 twice to return to Backcountry, so $18 just to have Club Ride let me down. Club Ride needs to do a better job: don't contract out approval of the pattern and sample test what's coming out of the factory. It would take a lot of reassurance for me to trust this brand again.
