Instant hot water heater
This was the worst purchase I have ever made, the heater shuts down after the pilot is fired and it’s turned to the heating position. There is water pressure, full battery, and full tank of gas (no gas leaks)

Works but has some major flaws.
When it’s charged and works for about 5 minutes it’s great. Although here are a few things that really irritate me about it. The battery only lasts 5 minutes before it needs to be recharged. We didn’t figure this out until we were on our 2 week long trip up the coast. We ended up solving this by using the dc plug and a power bank to run the pump while we needed extra time. The temperature setting is very misleading. When you start it and turn it on. Don’t even think about turning it past the minimum setting. It will overheat and shut off the pump and flame. There’s no way to shut off the pump while also turning off the heater. So if you’re showering and trying to conserve water it’s near impossible without having to relight your heater. Kinda dumb. Overall the water does does really hot fast.

Does rhe Job
I moved to an off grid cabin that has no running water. This hot water heater with shower is just what we needed. The 2 of us only use 5 gallons of water for a shower. This item is lower cost than some other options which is important to us.

Did not work
It doesn't work. Returned but had to pay the shipping back!! I might break even... Pilot light just never stayed on. Water jug/Tank leaked and never got tight enough. There isn't a button on the "shower" part to stop the flow. It just siphoned out the entire 5 gallons. There is only a car charger. No shore power cord. It has a battery but no electronic ignition!?!? Very disappointed

Innovative and useful accessory
I had been waiting for this accessory to go on sale.....and when it did, I jumped on it....thinking I might be taking a chance with all the not-so-great reviews. So far my experience has been positive. After the first charge the battery only lasted about a minute....then I charged it again overnight and it lasted maybe 10 minutes. I then realized that this is a lithium battery so sometimes it takes a few charge cycles to reach full capacity. I will continue to assess. I actually don't use it for camping at the moment but for times when I need hot water away from the house. The temperature of the water output is quite hot....at least for my purposes but I think someone taking a shower would feel it's definitely warm enough. Note that Coleman does not sell any spare/replacement parts for this unit (despite the part #s in the manual)....so essentially if one of the pieces breaks...you may have to buy another. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the only way to charge this model is via a 12-volt power source (e.g. car battery) which makes sense if you are on the road but around the home it's a bit of a pain. It would be nice if there was an AC charge option.....life the previous green model. One thing I learned .....I thought the only way to ignite the pilot light on this model (2302-B) was via a match....but this unit does have a piezo electric starter-built in....that was not clear in the instructions nor on the control knob....which you push in and you will hear the "clicking" sound. After that you are home free.

Terrible product
Extremely disappointed. The battery lasts about 5 minutes. It takes 10-15 attempts to get the pilot to work and then the unit randomly cuts out every couple of minutes. I have taken it on 5 camping trips and have still not had one successful use. Initially I thought it was me not using it correctly but now I realize it just doesn’t work. It is poorly designed and cheaply built and the price tag was not low! Not what I expect from Coleman which I usually consider reliable

Most of the connections leaked excessively.
The lid to the water container leaks. The pump also leaks. We had a very limited amount of water as we were off the grid, so the water loss made this item unusable.

Leaking tank connection
I couldn't get it to stop leaking at the connection to the water tank. Any suggestions on troubleshooting? Did I need to install a gasket somewhere?
