Definitely waterproof
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a waterproof jacket for a trip to Iceland, like totally waterproof. I stood in the shower with this for 5 minutes and the water didn’t soak in, even after I took it off. I compared it to the Eddie Bauer Rain Foil and this is the one I’ll be keeping!

Have not been in a drenching rain in years….live in SW and global warming is hitting us hard. But is waterproof in rain storms I have been in. Great hood.

Great jacket!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a version of this rain jacket for about ten years. The only reason I'm ordering a new one is that the older jacket (white) is getting a little dingy on the sleeves. Otherwise it's still in fantastic shape. I got a large this time (my old one is a medium) to allow for bulkier sweaters so I can wear it in colder weather. I'm tall with long arms, and the sleeves on the large are just the right length. The color is beautiful, even better in person than the website picture, and is darker so will hide dirt better than my white one. I like the mesh lining inside, which adds a bit of insulation and wicks moisture.
