Packable, impermeable, and highly breathable, the Columbia Hikebound II Jacket was built to keep us going after the clouds break. The Omni-TECH membrane and fully sealed seams stop the rain from breaking through, while the soft mesh lining enhances breathability to keep our own storm from brewing underneath. With the hood, hem, and cuffs cinched tight, we're protected from cold droplets rolling inside, and when the sky turns blue again, this layer rolls right back into its own pocket until it's needed again.

Excellent upgrade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Couldn’t have asked for a better raincoat. I have had many versions of Columbia raincoats over the years and they are always making good improvements. This one is light weight and easy to pack. Not bulky at all. The coat is warm but breathable in weather. I also love the design of the hood as it does not come off in higher winds.

Awesome waterproof jacket - Alaska approved

Good Shell

Pockets need better design
Great jacket, the only problem is the pockets, if the pockets aren't zipped up during rain the water seeps in since there is no waterproofing on the inside. This can become an issue especially if you need to access anything or put your hands inside the pockets. Definitely needs a better solution for the pockets.
