Platinum Peak II 3L Pants deliver waterproof breathability and rugged protection for long days
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"These pants are the ones I grab for storm riding and backcountry missions. The 20K/20K rating actually holds up in heavy snow, and I stay comfortable even when I’m skinning. The fit is spot-on with just enough articulation for movement, and the reinforced cuffs are clutch for durability around ski boots."
The Platinum Peak II 3L Pants are built for skiers and riders who won’t let conditions dictate their day. Featuring Omni-Tech™ waterproof-breathable protection, they boast a 20K/20K rating that shields us from relentless storms while still allowing airflow when we’re pushing uphill. Inspired by pro snowboarder Curtis Ciszek, these pants balance technical mountain-ready performance with an active fit that moves naturally.
From powder laps to bootpacks, the details set the Platinum Peak II apart. Fully sealed seams block out moisture, articulated knees add mobility, and adjustable waist tabs let us fine-tune the fit. PU-coated zippers keep pockets dry, reinforced cuff guards hold up to ski edges and buckles, and internal gaiters lock snow out on the deepest days. Finished with sustainable recycled materials and designed without PFAS, these pants are as responsible as they are reliable.

Fantastic snow pants for sunny days
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I have a supremely difficult time finding pants of any kind. I'm short (5'3") and pear-shaped; wide hips and a big butt. When I bump into counters or chairs, I surprise myself. If you're like me, it's a particular kind of misery. And if you're like me, when you try on a pair of pants that fit you, and don't slide down giving you saggy crotch, you want every color and maybe back ups. For me, this is that pair of snow pants. These feel great, look great, and I'm so glad I got them. They're very thin, so definitely for the warmer days. The Columbia's recommended size for me was M short, but short was unavailable. I've also been duped by the auto-size recommendations, so I bought these in both M regular and L regular. The M's were tight on my butt, but the L's were comically large. Like there was no-point-in-zipping-them-huge. I'm keeping the mediums, and will continue to dream of dropping a pound. They are a bit tight in the upper leg joint area when I sit or lift my leg up, but it's not that big of a deal. I'm not rock-climbing or doing yoga in these things. I LOVE the adjustable waist, omg, what brilliance. That may sell these alone! The length is a bit long for me, but with boots on, I don't think that will matter too much. I was surprised that the elastic around the ankles was so loose, but maybe that's how they're supposed to be to fit around boots... just seemed too loose. Overall, great pants.
