A DWR Finish, or Durable Water Repellent finish, is a treatment applied to fabrics that makes them water-resistant. This means that when it rains lightly, water will bead up and roll off the surface instead of soaking in. This feature helps keep you dry and comfortable during unexpected weather, making it ideal for outdoor activities.

The waterproof capability of a jacket is indicated by its Waterproof Rating, which measures how much water pressure the fabric can withstand before leaking. For example, a rating of 10,000mm means the fabric can handle a column of water 10,000 millimeters high without letting any water through. Higher ratings provide better protection in heavy rain, ensuring you stay dry.

Breathability Rating measures how well a fabric allows moisture, like sweat, to escape while keeping water out. A rating of 10,000g/m² means that the fabric can let 10,000 grams of water vapor pass through one square meter in 24 hours. This is crucial for comfort during physical activities, as it helps prevent overheating and keeps you feeling fresh.

Fully Sealed Seams are constructed with waterproof tape applied over the stitching to prevent water from seeping through the needle holes. This construction method significantly enhances the waterproof quality of the garment, ensuring that even in heavy rain, you remain dry and protected.
