Why We Like The Fuego Hooded Down Jacket
As toasty as its name implies, the Cotopaxi Fuego Hooded Down Jacket is a tried-and-true insulated layering staple. Responsibly-sourced, water-resistant 800-fill goose down insulation makes this jacket one that you won't want to take off from fall to spring, while the DWR-finished nylon ripstop shell gives you some added protection against abrasion and light precipitation. The streamlined fit, scuba hood, and elastic binding throughout ensures you move in natural mobility through the mountains, and the included stuff sack safely stashes this jacket compactly in your pack when the adventure comes to an end.

Sizing is off
The jacket was at least 2 sizes larger than the current size medium Fuego jacket I have. The color was far duller than the picture in the ad.

Awesome jacket
I bought one a couple years ago and love it but when I saw they released an all black version, I wanted that one. The sizing is bigger but not in a bad way. I think sizing is more true now, which puts me back into an XL. I’d recommend this jacket for sure. It’s wicked good

Two things to ignore from other comments. First of all this is 800 down, so whoever is saying this isn't warm knows nothing about winter layering or clothing in general. Good luck finding something else that compresses down into its own pocket and seals your heat in with a hood. Second thing is everyone is saying this is over sized or incorrectly sized. If you didn't read the size chart that's on you. Your sleeves are supposed to be a little bit longer or baggy, so that you can fit all of the layers you need under it comfortably. That's why you have elastic wrist bands to keep them situated on your arms correctly even if they feel a little longer or baggy then you are used to. 6'2 180 pounds fits perfect. If I were 6'2 240 like I used to be this would still fit perfect. If you have shorter arms for your height , well then check the size chart and get a M. Also, you cannot tell these sleeves are a little big even if you don't use layers. It looks like a perfect fitting jacket on me with just a long sleeve underneath. The company also donates a portion of its profit to poverty. I did a ton a research before I bought this and I say can good luck finding something better at this price that is this warm, light, compressible, and the colors are this cool.

This fits huge
I've worn a medium in every brand for the past 20 years, but this fits like an XXL. It’s the strangest thing—almost like it was mislabeled. It looks good and isn’t very warm, which is fine since I planned to layer it. But the sizing really threw me off. Also the cut isn't tapered. I'm returning this.

Great, warm jacket
I work outside a lot in the colder months, so this jacket is perfect to keep me warm during the cold, snowy, northern Michigan winters.

Love it!
This is my first puffy jacket since the 90’s with my Starter Jacket. I kinda never liked them until I moved to a colder climate and saw other people wearing this brand and I just really dug the way they fit. They didn’t seem too insanely puffy and looked slim fitting. The material is so comfy and I absolutely LOVE the color scheme of bronze one. I did have to size down though. I believe I want to buy a few of the other editions of this color scheme.
