Fjallraven Kajka 55 Backpack

Durable, comfortable and loaded with functions – despite its fairly modest appearance, Kajka 55 is an advanced trekking backpack in the true Fjällräven spirit. Now with an all-new, lighter design featuring fine-tuned functions, the lining and reinforcements made from recycled materials and improved repairability but still with its innovative, one-of-a-kind wooden frame. Kajka distributes even extremely heavy loads well and has been praised by both the trade press and hikers all over the world.

S/M models have slightly tapered shoulder straps at the front to better fit smaller frames and give more room for the bust, plus a slightly shorter adjustable hipbelt. M/L models have longer shoulder straps that do not taper at the ends to better fit wider torsos.

Best backpack ever

I got this bag about 3 years ago now. I use it a travel backpack. I backpacked around India for 3 months so I really put this through the wringer. It is, hands down, the best backpack I have ever used. The storage was easy to use, easy to access and I could fit so much. And it was SO comfortable! Honestly, it felt so good to wear this thing, even when it was loaded up. Ive been travel backpacking for 20 years now and I feel like I’ve finally found the pack for me 🥰. Thank you fjallraven!!

One of the best backpacks for rock climbing!

I've been searching for a single-bag solution for my rock climbing gear, and this ticks all the boxes. So far I have been able to pack both a 60m and 70m rope (one inside and one draped between the bag and its hat), stick clip (in the ice axe holder), harness, two pair of climbing shoes, 16 quickdraws (in the side pockets), helmet, chalk bag, and my belay devices with some room to spare. The build quality is insanely high and every bit of storage space that could be squeezed out of this bag has been. My back does start to hurt a little during long approaches, but I don't think that is necessarily the bag's fault. There are at least 5 different easily adjustable points that can fit the backpack to your body, which is great for personalization but does take some time to dial in.. My only real gripes are that the waist pockets are a little small and that the waist harness system can cause the bag to tilt if you lay it strap-side down, causing my bottle and whatever is in the waist pockets to fall out. The latter issue can be fixed by just propping the bag up on a tree or rock when loading it from the front, but still a little annoying.
