Why We Like The Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Solar Sport Watch
Whatever we're pushing for, the Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Solar Sport Watch helps us get there. The beefy construction withstands rugged conditions and submersion up to 10 meters, while the solar-charging face keeps the battery going up to 122 hours in GPS mode. In addition to tracking our performance, this large-sized watch gives us suggested workouts, recovery time needs, readiness scores, and more to help us reach our goals without burning out. From road to trail, the preloaded color maps and multi-band GPS keep us on route with precision, and when the sun goes down, the built-in LED flashlight helps illuminate the way.

Here's what customers have to say
The Fenix 7X Pro Solar is a feature-rich smartwatch that receives overwhelmingly positive reviews. Users praise its long battery life, accurate GPS tracking, and comprehensive fitness and health monitoring capabilities. The watch's user-friendly interface, bright display, and customization options are also highlighted as strengths. The solar charging feature allows the watch to go for weeks without needing to be recharged. However, some users find the watch to be heavy and bulky, and a few mention it can be complicated to set up and use, especially for those new to the brand. Overall, the smartwatch is widely regarded as a top-of-the-line option for fitness enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers.

Great features!
The Felix 8 pro was out of my price range and o got the Felix 7 Pro solar. I love the bright light it has and easy to track fitness and hikes. Seems rugged and last several years!

It never leaves my wrist
This watch has been a huge upgrade that can stand up to just about anything. Big shock here... the flashlight was the best feature they included in this watch. Overall, this has the best connection of any Garmin I have had. On past watches it stops connecting to my phone or wifi. This one always connects.

Long Battery Life
I bought as a backup for data saving when riding and it does that. There are various other things available with the Fenix 7X Pro but I’m old and not computer savvy to figure a lot of it out easily. Just wish it was easier to figure out. But I’m happy with it. The battery life was the selling point for me.

3.5 Stars-A Nice Watch
I recently upgraded to this watch from my Instinct 2 Solar, which I really enjoyed. The sale price made it a good value, and I appreciated that the menu system is very similar to the Instinct, making the transition easy. I’ve also used a Forerunner in the past, and the consistency across Garmin’s interface is a definite plus. However, I do have two main drawbacks with this watch: 1. Display quality: The color and resolution are significantly lower than the AMOLED version. This is due to the solar screen, but I’m not convinced that the solar feature justifies the tradeoff. Garmin’s non-solar watches already offer excellent battery life, as do their Edge cycle computers. If I had the choice again, I’d opt for the AMOLED version. 2. Software support: It seems Garmin has moved on from the Fenix 7X series when it comes to major updates. Even my older and less significant Instinct 2 still receives them. This appears to be more of a marketing strategy than a technical limitation, which is disappointing for a premium device. Other notes: The watch is heavy. I wear it overnight for sleep tracking, and while I’ve adjusted to the weight, it was uncomfortable at first. My Instinct never had this issue due to being much lighter. As an avid cyclist, I love that this watch works great as a fully functional cycle computer. It connects with all the same sensors as my Garmin Edge, and I use it as a reliable backup. I wear it on my wrist even though a handlebar mount is available. It’s fine for road and gravel riding, but on rough terrain (like mountain biking), the weight and bulk cause it to bounce and irritate my skin, something that didn’t happen with the lighter Instinct. Final thoughts: This is a great watch in many ways, but I would recommend going with the AMOLED version instead of the solar. Garmin already excels at battery life, so the solar feature feels unnecessary. Also, I wouldn't recommend this model for rough activities due to the weight and comfort issues.

One year review.
Love every aspect of this watch except for the battery life. Going from a Fenix 5 to this has been a major upgrade albeit the battery life, small hassle. Stays charged with everything monitoring/operating in the background for about 15-20 days as opposed to the 25-30 I was getting from the Fenix 5. Much better equipped watch as compared to its predecessors. The flashlight has been the most used feature as well. Would recommend over and over again.

Very Good Overall
I've had the watch for about a month and really like it. The battery life is awesome and I don't think the solar is even being used since it's winter and I wear long sleeve shirts for the most part. The various watch faces that are available are a plus, especially the ones that are available online. The large size of the watch is a good thing and a not so good thing. The data is easy to read for the most part but the large size makes it hard to sleep with for me. This is just personal issue and not a flaw of the watch. The Garmin Connect app is very good. I hope it keeps on getting updated. Thanks
