Great activity smartwatch at a great price!
Since my primary athletic activity is swimming, I had been using the Garmin Swim2 watch for the past three years. I traded up to the Garmin from a Fitbit model after I found my older Fitbit not as robust...nor as accurate as I would have liked. As far as the swim tracking functions, the Garmin Swim2 was by far the most accurate and robust device that I could have hoped for. The downside, though, was its less-robust functionality for other activities that I took part in, as well as the lack of many "smart watch" functions. Additionally, the reliance on having managing side button presses to utilize its robust functionality often drove me crazy. Now, that is all alleviated with the Forerunner 165. Its swim tracking is almost completely as robust as my old Swim2 (the two functions that it doesn't do I never utilized anyway)...and the more-robust tracking of other activities (plus health monitoring) is exceptional. Additionally, it has all of the smart watch functions that I missed from the Fitbit. Yes, there still is some reliance on buttons...but nowhere near that of the Swim2. In any case, I could not be more pleased with my purchase. I also got the watch with the "music" function...and enjoy using that as well.

Amazing watch
I bought this watch 6 weeks ago and have had no problems. I love the variety in the activity selection and the battery life is amazing for how short the 0-100 charge time is. Would definitely recommend for entry level runners. Couldn't be happier!

Terrible at connecting
I love garmin but this watch I bought completely ruined it when I bought it I wanted to put music on it and all it does is say sync not ready and it constantly says it after me doing resets and troubleshooting so I had to switch to coros if garmin could convince me Ill go back until then Im with coros.

AMAZING WATCH!!!
I bought this watch cause I am really into running. It works great! But I did not know that it would work for every sport I play or do. It is a bit on the expensive side but if you do multiple sports, it’s worth it! It has helped me reach goals in my cross country season too! Definitely recommend!!!

Great Fitness Watch!
I love my Garmin Forerunner! I use it mostly to track bike rides, hikes, and walks, and it is always very accurate. The battery life cannot be beat and I only have to charge it about once a week. I have not used the music storage yet but I like that it is an option. This watch is definitely good for a beginner. You can add different workouts to your watch and change the face, it is very customizable. I also like that you can connect it to your phone so you can see your notifications on it. I love this watch!

I’ve been using the Garmin Forerunner 165 Music for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s the perfect blend of functionality, comfort, and value—especially for anyone who wants a watch that supports both fitness and everyday life. The Forerunner 165 Music feels like the sweet spot between beginner-friendly and performance-driven. It’s a great choice if you want a smartwatch that supports serious fitness goals but still fits seamlessly into daily life. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, music-capable fitness watch without the premium price tag.

Phone-free running is AMAZING
I bought this watch so I could have music but didn't want to carry my phone during runs. The music interface is simple to use and syncing up my Spotify playlists was easy if you follow the instructions. I carry another Apple Watch with LTE on me that I use as my cell/emergency contact device. Running without a phone is an amazing feeling! Love this watch!
