Bright, battery-strong Forerunner 265 Watch with AMOLED display and training readiness
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I upgraded for the AMOLED screen and stayed for the coaching. Forerunner 265 nails the basics—accurate GPS, all-day HR, great battery—and the Training Readiness and suggested workouts help me pace hard weeks. It’s light, sweatproof, and syncs quickly; I finish a run and stats are already in the app."
We lean on the Forerunner 265 Watch when we want clearer data and smarter guidance every day. The vivid AMOLED touchscreen makes metrics pop at a glance during intervals and long runs, while the lightweight, sweat-friendly build disappears on the wrist. Overnight, it tracks sleep and HRV to deliver Training Readiness so we wake up knowing whether to push or recover.
For structured progress, adaptive coaching and daily suggested workouts tailor sessions to our fitness and race plan, and real-time stamina helps us meter effort late in the run. Multi-band GNSS locks onto satellites fast for reliable route and pace data, while wrist-based heart rate, SpO2 spot checks, and stress tracking round out the wellness view. With up to 13 days of battery life and 5ATM water rating, it’s ready for training blocks, travel, and race day.

Great Watch for Beginner to Intermediate
Battery life is great compared to other brand smartwatches. The heart rate on the Forerunner is much more precise that the lower level Garmins that I have used before. Great for tracking my 10K runs and training for other longer runs.

Fantastic!!!
Hello- former Garmin user from 10+ years ago, which was the first version of the Vivioactive. It just didn’t have enough functionality back then, and I opted to switch to an Apple Watch. I recently got back into running and know that the Apple runs really close on battery for the longer runs. Plus I never can wear my Apple to bed for sleep tracking, because that’s when it gets charged. So I went with the Forerunner 265 after much research on the best Garmin product for runners, and I absolutely love it! It’s comfortable, never a worry about battery life, sleep tracking available, great screen. I don’t think I can respond to emails or messages but I rarely used my watch for that, I really use the watch for reading them so the Garmin works great. Some of the negatives I read were on the band, but I really like it so far. I have used it for about a dozen runs now including a half, and it is now my all-the-time watch! I genuinely thought I was going to wear this watch just for running.

Great running metrics
I have had a long line of Garmin watches. I came from a Venu2s. I wanted to go back to something that had more running metrics/running forward. I am really enjoying learning about all the metrics it provides.

I love it!
Ive been using Garmin Forerunner since back in 2008ish. and have upgraded my watch 3 times Im now enjoying the range of options to "workout" that this model has. The face is well lit and easy to read. I have only had the watch now for about 2 weeks but the ease of using the touch screen is awesome. and the watch band is VERY comfortable and seems more breathable then my 255 was. I did have one glitch that a ride I took was saved on my watch but didn't go to the Garmin app. I have spotty connection in the area I Saved it so it could have been a communication drop because of that. IDK. But all my other workouts have saved. Im completely happy with this style!

Awesome
I bought this after having had the Coros Pace 3 for a year and it was an amazing upgrade. I liked my coros but the screen and some of the new functions are amazing I am not switching back.

Great watch for cross country
I bought this watch unsure which model was the best of Garmin and without trying the other ones this is easily worth the money and definitely worth the self investment I run cross country in highschool and it tracks more then enough for me to understand what’s going on and that’s only one side of this watch it has hiking swimming features that I don’t use it is a seem less connection whether iPhone or Samsung user I love how it connects to Strava to track runs and is easily a top choice for me
