What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve taken the Alpaca 100L everywhere from winter road trips to international bikepacking launches. The fabric is bomber, the wheels roll over everything, and I love that it doubles as a backpack. The included cube and expandable pocket make staying organized surprisingly easy—even when I overpack."

When the adventure demands everything, we reach for the Gregory Alpaca 100L Wheeled Duffel. With its cavernous interior and rugged, water-resistant materials, it’s built to carry it all—gear, layers, tools, and more—without hesitation. The TPU-coated, recycled ripstop fabric and heavy-duty base shrug off rough baggage handlers, wet weather, and abrasive terrain, while the oversized wheels and retractable handle keep it rolling smooth from truck beds to airport curbs.

Inside, smart details keep chaos in check. An included mesh-top packing cube organizes the essentials, while an expandable end compartment separates dirty clothes or gear from the clean. Oversized zipper pullers, daisy chain lash points, interior mesh pockets, and removable backpack straps add versatility to every haul. Whether we’re crossing continents or chasing powder weekends, the Alpaca 100L is the packhorse that’s always ready.

Spacious and Durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gregory Alpaca 100 L Rolling Duffel is a do-it-all workhorse. It works equally well as checked baggage when traveling, or as a gear-toter for long haul athletic pursuits: in my case, for 24-hour team mountain bike races. With a separate zippered compartment for dirty clothes, this duffel accommodates worn cycling kit with ease, which gives me peace of mind (and of nose). Other thoughtful touches I appreciate? - The thin removable liner that allows for easy cleaning and reduces unnecessary bulk. - The inner straps that buckle in the center of the duffel and can be cinched from both sides at the same time. - The beefed-up zipper pulls which will keep this product rolling for years to come. I love this duffel — Gregory has hit a home run once again! Gregory gave me this free product to try. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Gregory Alpaca 32” Rolling Duffel 100L Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Gregory Alpaca 32” Rolling Duffel 100L for several recent trips, ranging from weekend mountain getaways to gear-heavy work travel. This duffel immediately stands out for its rugged build quality and smart organization. The weather-resistant material feels tough enough to handle anything—from airport baggage belts to gravel parking lots—and it’s easy to clean after a dusty trip. The large U-shaped lid makes packing straightforward and finding gear effortless, and the bright blue interior really helps with visibility when working in dim lighting or early mornings. I appreciate the internal compression straps, which keep everything secure even when the bag isn’t fully packed. The medium-sized pocket on the top of the duffel is great for storing smaller items, but having an additional quick-access pocket specifically for travel documents or essentials would make it even more convenient. The extendable handle and oversized wheels roll smoothly over a variety of surfaces, from polished airport floors to uneven ground outside the truck. At 100 liters, it easily fits bulkier items like boots, jackets, tripods, and tools, yet it remains easy to maneuver and stable when upright. The external compression straps help manage the load, and the side handles make it simple to lift in and out of vehicles. One thing that really stood out to me was Gregory’s lifetime warranty, proudly noted on the tag. It’s not something you see every day and speaks volumes about the confidence they have in their craftsmanship and materials. As someone who spends a lot of time traveling for both outdoor adventures and work, I need gear that’s durable, efficient, and easy to move through different environments. The Alpaca 32” Duffel checks all those boxes. I’d highly recommend it for anyone who travels frequently, especially those carrying technical or outdoor gear that demands extra space and protection. Disclosure: Gregory gave me this free product to try. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Amazing quality and durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to use this travel case for a week long trip to Indiana for a Motocross race and then some sight seeing. The cases quality is amazing and it withstood everything I was doing without and flaws, even the wheels survived dragging it across gravel and dirt without so much as a scratch on them! I’d recommend this bag to anyone looking for quality and a well throughout design. The zippers are super durable and the locking system for the zippers is unique and left me with no concern when leaving my bag unattended. No-Frills, No-Nonsense

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Alpaca 100L Rolling Duffel is great. I've loved taking it on trips, and it handles terrain and different travel situations like nothing else. It's dang strong because of the high-quality materials, but I think some tweaked design features could go a long way in future iterations. I was given this bag for free by Gregory in exchange for my honest review, hopefully my thoughts can guide your purchase well. I've taken this to Vietnam, fishing and climbing trips in Utah, and I plan to use it skiing in Colorado and abroad so it's safe to say this has been through the ringer both in the airplane, in the car, and off the beaten path. Pros: - Material quality is the #1 standout feature here. TPU 900 denier fabric still looks brand new after TSA, climbing, and fishing trips and the burly zippers still glide like butter. - Crazy light - Great no-nonsense storage space and organization. I had everything I wanted and more, leaving me room to bring stuff back on trips. - Wheels can take almost anything you'll need to take luggage. Definitely beats out hard luggage when hauling practical gear. Gravel, pavement, dirt, mud, nothing's an issue with this. Mixed: - The "expanding dirty gear pocket" worked much better as a quick-access pocket. Location of the pocket is the main issue here, being placed at the top rather than the bottom (though I'm open to both slots in the future). Cons: - If left upright, I found that rain seeps right in and will get your stuff wet. The bag has to be laid flat in order for your gear to be protected from the rain. - The luggage cannot be compressed for storage. The bottom plastic shank is preventing the bag from being fully compressed. It's great for strength but poor for storage when luggage is not in use. The Alpaca 100L Rolling Duffel beats a huge hardshell luggage in many aspects. It's stupid light, meaning I could pack more compared to regular luggage. Rolling it has not been an issue and it handles varied terrain excellently. Stuffing it full of gear or even just a bunch of clothes for a weeklong trip makes it the central hub for my trips and the organization pockets are perfect for this, however, I often found myself avoiding the advertised "expanding dirty gear pocket" when looking to place dirty gear. The pocket is placed right on top near the handle. Intuitively, this worked great as a quick-access pocket for jackets, toiletries, passports, and other quick grab items. I didn't want to use it to place dirty wetsuits, wet shoes, or the other advertised items because I don't want those items dripping down onto the rest of my gear when the duffel was placed upright. I understand this is much more of a personal preference, but I'd be open to another "dirty gear pocket" near the bottom where dirt and grime often navigate anyways rather than at the top. But that being said, the top pocket was great as an easy access pocket on car trips as I could grab stuff out of my duffel without pulling out everyone else's bag. One of the biggest drawbacks to me is the packability. Luggage often spends the majority of the year not in use, meaning finding a good place for storage is important. Enter the benefit of a rolling duffel, being able to collapse on itself and store at half the size, however with the Alpaca 100L Rolling Duffel, it cannot do that as the structure of the hard plastic prevents it from doing that. It can be seen as a pro as it increases durability and strength but whenever I found myself putting it away after a trip, I would run into this issue when putting it away. This is such a good bag though, for those who value durability and strength in their bag: this beats out traditional hardshell luggage in almost every way. If you're a traveller or gear hauler, pick this. Bottom line: Love this bag! Durable purpose-built rolling duffel, its just one or two steps away from being perfect. Pick this if you're a gear hauler (skiing, climbing, surfing, fishing, etc.)

Spacious easy to pack/organize

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bag is easy to transport - is lightweight when empty. You can load it up to the brim and its perfect for multiday trips, I can fit all my mtb gear in there with room to spare. The 3 pockets allow for quick access and the straps ensure everything stays in place. It's a great product and works as expected. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

A duffel to go the distance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cavernous, sturdy wheeled bag perfect for big trips where you're also bringing a backpack and don't want to do the awkward waddle needed to wear a duffel as a backpack and a backpack as a frontpack. The level of built-in organization is just right for this type of bag - there's a dirty clothes/shoe compartment at the front to keep messes apart, but the main volume of the bag is uninterrupted by dividers, pockets, or other ornaments. The wheels rolled well through rough terrain, and the bag's relatively light considering its size and bombproof construction. I like the TPU/polycarbonate build, which provides enough shape to make it a good roller bag without turning it into a bulky mass in cases where it's not completely full (or when in storage). It's a little bit early for ski season, but I'm looking forward to using this as a perfect ski trip bag. Gregory sent me this beast in exchange for an honest review - thanks!

Rugged, Spacious, and Built for Real-World Travel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently used the Gregory Alpaca Wheeled Duffel 100L for a week-and-a-half-long hunting trip, and I came away seriously impressed with how tough and well-designed this bag is. It easily handled all of my hunting gear, from bulky clothing layers to boots and accessories. One of my favorite features is the large main compartment. It’s roomy enough to fit my size 10.5 boots without issue, and it kept the rest of my gear clean and dirt-free. Durability is clearly where this duffel shines. The 900-denier fabric top and the polycarbonate bottom feel bombproof. I didn’t baby this bag at all, and it still looks great after being rolled through dirt and gravel. The wheels are sturdy and smooth, even on uneven terrain, and the telescoping aluminum handle stayed smooth and stable despite some grit working its way in. The zippers are another standout feature. They’re oversized and glide easily, even when the bag is packed full. The large T-shaped zipper pullers make it easy to grab and can be locked together for added security. The rubber-coated carry handles are grippy and comfortable, which really helps when lifting a fully loaded bag. Inside the lid, there are two big mesh pockets that were perfect for smaller items like socks, gloves, and accessories, keeping everything organized and easy to find. Overall, this duffel feels purpose-built for adventure. It’s rugged, practical, and thoughtfully designed for people who actually use their gear hard. I’m heading out on a long vacation next, and this bag is absolutely coming with me. I trust it to handle whatever I throw at it. Highly recommend for hunters, travelers, and anyone who needs a tough, high-capacity bag that can take a beating and still roll smoothly. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. Thank you EV and Gregory!

Great for climbing trips!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For my upcoming trip to Greece, I was already looking for a new travel storage method and was leaning towards a duffel that is easy to manage and able carry my oddly shaped things (climbing gear). The duffel fits checked bag standards and I was able to fit all my climbing gear in it before filling it up. The issue was that the climbing gear was heavier than the 50 kg limit. I ended up having to take out some climbing gear and packing the rest with clothes, which is probably a better idea since the duffel part of the bag is not as protective. The capacity of the bag easily has room for my and my boyfriend's clothing. We flew out of Denver and had a layover in Munich on our way to Thessaloniki. We eventually made our way to Rhodes by plane, then Kalymnos by ferry. The wheeled duffel made it through three airports, a boat, and many cobblestone streets. It gained a few scratches from the airports. The wheels are quite burly and have a large radius, allowing it to roll over things more easily. I have full confidence that the duffel will hold up. As mentioned earlier, what I like about the duffel is the adaptability of the storage. Our stick clip for climbing fit perfectly inside - it stood fully vertical. In a traditional hardshell checked bag sized suitcase, I would lay it diagonally and over some suspicious ridges. I like the sleek outer aesthetics and the bright inside, which helps me quickly locate things. Additionally, I like that because it is half duffel, it can fit into skinnier spots like under my bed. I really love that it can also stand on its own. Lastly, everything seems very well made and strong - the buckles, wheels, and fabrics are to highlight. I believe the material is waterproof. One possible concern was that while rolling over uneven and bumpy terrain was that the grip of the telescoping handle felt rough and sandpapery over long distances. It could break in overtime. While the fabric is thick and made of a nice material, it did pick up some scratches. This was my first international climbing trip and second climbing trip overall. My first climbing trip was with a traditional hardshell suitcase and I will not go back. Gregory gave me this free product to try. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

100L Alpaca duffel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this bag mostly for travel to Mexico and Colorado and will use for hunting. Fantastic bag and does what it's suppose to do with a ton of capacity for 2 people. love how the entire bottom is made up of the polycarbonate which gives it a lot of rigidity. I do feel like it will fall over in the upright position sometimes. I love/kind of dislike the wheels, they roll very smooth and seem not to get stuck on little rocks. If they had 4 spinner wheels on the bottom with the same wheels it has with a polycarbonate base I think it would be perfect.
