The pack is a great size and comfort for a day pack.I was able to fit everything inside the pack and didn't have to strap stuff on the out side. With everything in the pack I didn't have to listen to thing making noise. I was able to move freely. It made a nice hike without stopping to adjust things. The pack it self didn't squeak or swish like other packs I own. I am glad I purchased it. Turned out to be better for me than expected.

Great larger daypack for hiking

Trip to Yosemite and Big Sur needed larger daypack for water bladder, with hip belt, to carry folding foam pad m/sandals and with shoulder lifters. Carried 2.5 liters of water, snacks, sunglasses in top pocket, layers and extra clothes. So glad I bought this bag! Used it as carry on the plane. Held everything I needed in a lightweight and comfortable bag. Easy to grab thing from hip belt pockets and top pocket. Easy on and easy off. Love the stretchy bag for raincoat, buff and map. Well-made bag. Zippers easy to pull open. I’m 5’9 240lbs and 55 yo female. First Gregory product I’ve ever bought.

I really wanted to love this bag---it has great pockets and all of the features I wanted. Unfortunately, I am 5'4" and about 105 pounds, and this pack did not fit me at all, even after I adjusted the torso. The hip belt wrapped around my ribs, and there was nothing I could do adjustment-wise to get it to sit on my hips. The upper back also rubbed and dug into my neck. I tried on a Maya 20 and it fit much better, so I may have to give up some volume for a better fit.

happy back lovely backpack

this backpack can be so streamline. It’s a very comfortable backpack probably stands above any other backpack I’ve used considering I’ve had uncomfortable back issues for years, and this one sat so nicely on my pelvis, and the strap around my waist was so comfortable.

Perfect day pack

This pack is the perfect size for day hikes. Love the pockets on the hips. They are nice and large.

Well thought out day pack

This bag is comfy on my 5’5” frame. I have a hard time with packs hitting the back of my head because of my shorter torso. Great for short hikes with enough room for me the dog stuff. I love all of the quick access compartments for the essentials. The hip belt is comfy as well as the padding on the back. I love my hydration clip, the reservoir paired with this is a must! The hydration clip is a nice feature to just drop and hand your reservoir easily. For a small bag it has amazing organized storage. The accessory loops are great too.

Happy with this pack

Pack is comfortable, the zippers work smoothly, and it’s a good size for a longish day hike. What I like most is the separate compartment for a hydration bladder. I have other packs that have a place to hang a bladder, but it’s a huge pain to cram the bladder into them, so if I’m using a bladder instead of water bottles, I take this pack.

Happy overall

I just got my Maya 25 and am happy with the quality. I like how the bag has some structure but is not rigid. I haven't actually worn it on a hike yet but around the house it feels comfortable. My initial thoughts are, I wish there was a little more cushion on the straps and the waistband pockets are a bit hard to reach while the pack is on. In my mind, when ordering, I imagined that the waistband pockets would allow me easy access to things while walking. However, they are quite a ways back and need to curve around my body. That means that my phone, though it fits, is hard to get in and out of the pocket while I'm walking. I take a lot of photos so was hoping I could tuck my phone away but be able to take it out quickly when needed. Realizing I may need to find another way. Overall happy with my purchase and excited to get some trail time in.
