Why We Like The Speedgoat 5 Trail Running Shoe
Already a favorite for our daily miles and ultras, HOKA's award-winning trail runner is now quicker than ever: The Speedgoat 5 is a half ounce lighter than its predecessor, giving us even more flight over root-infested, rock-plagued trails. The plush sole unit still delivers the soft landings, fast transitions, and powerful toe offs we've come to depend on but now with texturized lugs to give our footing confidence-boosting security.

Here's what customers have to say
The shoes are widely praised for their exceptional comfort and support, with many describing the cushioning and plush feel as walking on a cloud. They are reported to be comfortable for all-day wear, even for those with foot issues or who are on their feet frequently. The wide toe box and secure fit are also highlighted as positive features. However, some note the soles wear down relatively quickly, and a few found the shoes slightly narrower or stiffer than expected. Overall, the shoes seem to be a great option for those seeking maximum comfort and support, especially for activities like walking, hiking, and light running.

Hoka Speedgoat
I have both the Clifton 9 and the Speedgoat. The Speedgoat is slightly narrower and ties lower on the foot. It also has more "bounce" than the Clifton. These are the only shoes I can wear all day long and like them both. If I had to choose one over the other, I would take the Speedgoat only because of a nerve I have on the top of my foot and it is more comfortable. So glad I found Hoka! I am not a runner, but do walk a lot. Very comfortable!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I ordered a pair of Hokas for my wife a couple of days ago. When I realized i hadn't gotten an e-mail letting me know when they would ship I went into my account. To my surprise my order was cancelled, I received no message as to why it was cancelled or even that it was cancelled. I called the customer service number and a person just told me the order was cancelled. I asked to speak to a manager and he refused and said no manager was there. I have ordered from Backcountry for many years and never had an issue.

This is my second pair of Speedgoats. I did the Tour Du Mont Blanc in them with a 10kg pack. I have torn ligmanets in my ankle and needed a shoe I could trust. The Speedgoats did not disappoint.

Comfortable
I bought these to wear after I had a surgery for a double ligament tear on my toe. I need a lot of cushioning & these shoes provide that. They also fit my orthotics. Most comfortable walking shoe I've tried so far.

Great walkers
Bought these because of the meta rocker bottom. I broke my ankle in 3 places last November and my doctor and therapist recommended this type of sneaker. They are extremely comfortable and fantastic support for your feet and legs.

Camino De Santiago Shoes

I bought these for the Camino de Santiago (only 2 miles total though) and they didn't disappoint. Mostly urban trekking and they do have some slippage on wet metal, but my feet bounced back after a long day.
