Great bag foul taste
I bought this very recently for a hiking trip in Snowdonia and the bladder is a great size and fits perfectly in the side pocket of my pack; I find the hose fairly easy to use. However, despite rinsing repeatedly as well as soaking with bicarbonate of soda to try and remove the taste, it still has a really foul plastic taste which no other reviewers have mentioned. My previous bladder which I gave to my husband as I drink more and this has a great capacity does not have this problem. how do I get rid of this taste? Also, the bladder came with a very small sachet of a special lubricant gel. Where do I get more? it’s a very small amount and i’m sure won’t be enough for the lifetime of the bladder. I live in the UK. Hard to tick the yes or no regarding recommendation to a friend as if I can’t remove the taste I certainly wouldn’t and if I can, I would!

Perfect for the Long Summer Runs
As summer approaches in SoCal where I live, I find that I need more hydration through the long trail runs than the two 450ml flasks on the front of the vests. I decided to get the Velocity IT 1.5L and it's exactly what I needed. It keeps the water cool through runs of 3+ hours and everything works as it should. Very happy with this product and it'll be an essential part of my summer trail running kit.

not great for winter use
I bought this bladder to use with my ski touring pack. It was the best insulated option I could find and I assumed if it is insulated for use in warmer temps it would work for colder temps. The bladder insulates the water, though the hose and mouth piece freeze. I realized this is not the intended use and am researching another mouthpiece.

Mine leak's but I might have just got a bad one everyone else’s reviews seem like they have no issues.

Normal tube, not insulated
