Compact HalfGen Base Camp Stove for versatile camp cooking and seamless JetLink setups

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I use the HalfGen when I’m setting up a bigger base camp with friends, and it’s awesome to have modular cooking power. You can use it as a standalone stove for quick meals or link it into a JetLink system for multi-burner setups. The simmer control is super responsive, and it puts out plenty of heat without wasting fuel. The included pan cooks evenly, and the whole setup packs away nicely for easy transport."

Whether we're cooking breakfast at a trailhead or prepping dinner for a full campsite, the Jetboil HalfGen Base Camp Stove makes camp cooking feel easy and efficient. Designed for modular setups, the HalfGen works seamlessly on its own or connects into a JetLink system to expand your outdoor kitchen when feeding a crowd.

Jetboil’s precision simmer control gives us complete command over the flame, letting us sear, simmer, or sauté with confidence. With 10,000 BTUs of heat and reliable push-button ignition, this stove keeps meals coming even when temperatures drop. A nonstick fry pan, windscreen, and regulator are all included, so we can fire up the HalfGen straight out of the box—no extra accessories needed.

Here's what customers have to say

The stove offers good heat control and a compact, easy-to-use design. The included non-stick pan is well-received, though it can scratch easily. However, some users have experienced issues with the regulator malfunctioning, leading to safety concerns. Additionally, the lack of clear instructions and support from the company has been a point of criticism.

Bring It Basecamping

The HalfGen pan is a great addition to my basecamp kitchen. I love that it packs small, has its own travel bag, and it has a link to double up one fuel to multiple pans. As any jetboil product, it will serve the time with its well designed and built structure. Super easy to use and clean. The pan is not great at keeping the heat, but that might not be a problem when you are trying to cook quick and then pack up.

Exactly what I wanted

Small portable cook system that works in higher elevation and cold temps. Easy enough to fit in a plastic bin and store with other cooking supplies without taking a lot of room

Coffee freak

We go truck camping a lot and this is a life saver when your wife loves coffee. It is great to have and easy to set up and store. Also get a wacaco espresso maker.

What I needed

This became the final link to my portable camp box/kitchen. When this setup came out, I immediately knew it was what I had been missing to make my setup fully functional for my needs. It has been an outstanding addition and will continue to be a great purchase for a long time into the future. If you’re one the fence… just get it and you won’t regret the decision.

Reliable tank of a stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Truly next generation camping stove. Large size burner for large size/group meals is super durable and puts out enough BTUs to cook or dimmer whatever you need AND be able to boil a large pot of water quickly and consistently.

Powerful and compact

This burner takes up half the space of my old stove and when combined with a satellite burner, does the same job. Love it.

Excellent Camp Stove

I have used this on a number of outdoor adventures. Lunch and dinner when camping. Making a hot lunch at mid-day while on an all day fly fishing adventure. Very easy to clean and has a relatively small footprint when stored. The skillet and stove work well together and make it easy to cook foods at an appropriate temperature.

Fueling sucks

Can’t use mar tanks. Only the big giant green goblin tanks.

Compact and Convenient

I like that I do not have to use a different gas than what I usually take camping. This is compact and works well for my camping/fishing trips.
