Why We Like The Kask Protone Icon Helmet
Kask turned the dial up with their Protone Icon Helmet. Enhancing upon its base version, the Icon features an even sleeker shape to maximize ventilation and aerodynamics so we may move at greater speeds with greater comfort. And while comfort is of high importance, protection is even more so. We can trust the rotational tests of Kask for that.

Really nice but need more rides
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Helmet feels comfortable with adequate padding. Strap is nice and easy to adjust. Appears to have a good conformance to the head profile. Just unsure yet when I look over my shoulder and the helmet seems to sway. More adjustments and tweaks; we’ll see how it goes, but so far do like the helmet. Good ventilation as well.

Very comfortable, great air flow, great fit, lightweight, adjustable straps, easy to adjust, really no complaints. Really well thought out product, worth the extra money, I ride in the Arizona heat and this helmet has been my favorites by far.

Channels sweat right into your eyes

Comfortable, well vented, high quality helmet that’s pretty much unusable in warm weather or hard efforts. I’m not a particularly heavy sweater and have never had a helmet that is so bad for sweat management. It could be great, but now I’m looking for a replacement and this will have to be reserved for coffee rides or cold weather.

Rear padding falls out
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Overall a great fit and nice looking helmet. However, the two pads on the rear, on either side of the tightening wheel, are loose and have come out several times. It doesn't appear anything holds them in place other than being squeezed into the small channels. Have only had this for a couple months, so not sure how everything else will hold up long-term. Also, I don't see where this is a replacement part I can purchase for when it is eventually lost for good.

Sweaty but Comfortable
- Familiarity:

I really like the look of the Kask Protone and was excited when they released this updated version having had issues with sweat dripping down behind my glasses in my older version. Unfortunately, despite the claim of better air flow, they haven't fixed this issue. I'm not a super sweaty guy but for some reason these helmets just don't work for me (or the others in my group). I'd say this is borderline unusable for me personally. I may have to reserve this for winter riding. On the upside, it's super comfortable, the chin strap is great and the micro-adjustment works very well.

Light, Sleek, and Perfect Fit

The **Kask Protone Icon** is an absolute dream helmet! It’s **super light**, so it almost feels like you're not even wearing it — seriously, it’s that comfortable. The **ventilation is top-notch**, keeping me cool and comfortable even on long, hot rides. The design is **super sleek**, giving it that fast, pro-level look without being over the top. Plus, the **fit is fantastic** — snug where you want it but still super comfy, thanks to Kask’s signature adjustment system that dials in the perfect feel. If you want a helmet that’s lightweight, stylish, and crazy comfortable for every ride, the Protone Icon is the one to beat. Highly recommend grabbing it — you won’t want to ride without it once you try it!

Nice fit and feel to my head. I’d like to have a clip on visor for sun shield but never provided any more.

Very comfortable

This is a very comfortable and good looking helmet. I went from another brand that would slip around. This stays in the same position and doesn’t create any pressure points. Worth the money.
