Here's what customers have to say
The water filter is praised for its ease of use, fast flow rate, and ability to provide clean, filtered water for large groups. It is described as lightweight, compact, and durable, with useful features like a quick-connect hose and in-line shut-off valve. The filter effectively removes sediment, bacteria, and other contaminants, delivering safe and great-tasting water. While some users report the filter clogging more quickly in dirtier water, the majority find it to be a reliable and easy-to-maintain gravity-fed filtration system.

Boundary waters canoe trip filter
I use this on canoe trips after years of using a pump style filter. I know where it is in my pack and after our last portage of the day, I pull it out and fill it up in a good spot on the lake. It is very convenient and easy to use. I have not had any problems, yet, with decreasing flow rates.

Best water filter ever
I have used many different water filters over the years. This is the fastest And best I have ever used. At first I thought it was broken because it was filtering the water so fast but after inspection it just works that good! Will only be using this brand in the future

Best for group camps
After a Spring and Summer of use, this filter still chugs along with no signs of stopping. The only thing to know beforehand is that you need to filter clear water. Any silt or murk in the water will clog the filter quickly and hinder the flow.

perfect group water filter.
The size is perfect for our large group. Minimize the number of times we had to fill it. Bonus points were given because we could hang it from anywhere in the cabin.

Great gravity filter for group
I love the Katadyn BeFree filters for use with smaller 1-2L collapsible water bottles for personal use and have been just as pleased with this 10L setup for filtering water for a group. Speed of flow is great especially if filtering from a flowing/clean-ish source. Filters are easy to clean out if they become clogged or flow slows down.

Great for large group camping
Like the other Katadyn filters, this will filter at 2L/min, and is fantastic with the gravity feed and the weight is great also. The material feels durable (I've only used it in situ a few times), and the clear side window for keeping a visual eye on how much water is left is nice. The main con on this bag, is you have to have the filter on it while you fill it, which means it is nigh on impossible to completely fill it without getting the filter in the dirty water (unless you have a small waterfall to fill at). For this reason, I would recommend the 6L over the 10L.

Good filter
Used this on a western hunt for water filtration. We had clean water from a stream but worked well.

Great, high capacity filter
Used on a lengthy raft trip to filter water as we went so we wouldn't have to bring so much on the boat. Worked well and the capacity meant we did not have to refill so many times to top off the jugs. Only issue is that it did seem to flow slower than advertised but possibly user error. I would purchase again if needed.

Perfect for a Group!
Easy to fill, easy to use, and no worries about contamination! The clip to stop water flow was really nice. I think a point of failure could be the hose, but worked well for one multi-day trip so far.
