Why We Like The KEEN Targhee IV Mid WP Hiking Boot
When the trail is more mud than dirt, and there's more rain in the forecast, we trust the KEEN Targhee IV Mid WP Hiking Boot to keep our feet dry and stable over slippery terrain. The KEEN.DRY waterproof membrane repels mud and water as we pick our way across ruts and roots, keeping our socks dry the entire way. The KEEN.RUGGED sole provides excellent traction, giving us excellent grip as we scramble over wet rocks, and the heel capture system and stability shank keep our foot secure so we can trust each step on our way to the summit.

Here's what customers have to say
The hiking boots are generally well-received, with customers praising their comfort, support, and durability. Many note the boots are comfortable right out of the box and handle tough outdoor conditions well. However, some customers had issues with the tongue, laces, and fit, and a few found the boots to be slippery on wet surfaces. Overall, the boots seem to be a good choice for hiking, with some minor design flaws.

Big Time SURPRISED
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the Mountains & Great Boots are a Must! I own Timberland’s, Cat’s, Danners & other Top Brands so I had to try The Keen Targhee IV’s and Wow! The Look & Build was Impressive! I had to send the first pair back because they ran a half size too Big! In my opinion. I ordered the same pair 1/2 smaller and they showed up quickly. I was excited to finally try them out and I must say, They were extremely impressive. Really good fit, Great Support & Super Comfortable! Very well built. Exactly what I look for in a Boot. The Brindle/Canteen Color was Impressive as well. I’ll probably get a couple more pair, after seeing how they hold up. Note: I didn’t see it in other reviews, but you might consider ordering a half size smaller. Overall Fantastic Boot, You gotta get you some of these!

Seams are uncomfortable
This is the third pair we have tried and they all have bunching in the seam inside. The shoe itself is great, with good support and visually appealing. However there continues to be some defects inside the shoes, in different spots that make them unwearable.

WONT STAY TIED
My husband primarily wears them to work and has nothing but good things to say about the comfort and quality of this boot. However, it continues to keep coming un-tied. Very annoying. A grown man should not have to double knot his shoes.

Light as a feather and keeps you dry as the moons butt, but??
Great boots!! Just got my 6th pair of the IV over the last 6 years. However I keep saying when going up or down a slope or side hill, where is the ankle support?? These boots would be more awesome with better ankle support!!

Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 11th pair of keen footwear. I basically wear only Keen. These replace an older pair that I have had for years. I move the old pair to work days and use the new pair for regular outings. Comfortable, supportive, and keep my feet dry. Excellent shoes!!

Still early
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still getting used to then , only had them 3 weeks. I like how they lace up, nice & simple. They are comfortable now, should be even better later. I'm very curious to see how waterproof they will be.

Didn't pass the test of time
Mens Targhee III The left shoe started squeaking with light wear after 2 years. I have a well-worn version of the previous style from years earlier that never had a problem, other than normal wear and tear. I own 6 pairs of Keen's and this is the first issue I've had.
