Why We Like The Klymit Double V Sleeping Pad

Sleeping with a partner makes a night under the stars as cozy as can be. Whether we're together in a double bag or prefer our separate mummies snuggled close, the Double V Sleeping Pad keeps us both comfy the whole night through. Two pads can slide apart during the night, and traditional double-wide pads can create uneven air distribution, but Klymit's unique V-shaped chambers keep the air evenly spread so we can be as happy outdoors as we are in bed.

Here's what customers have to say

The sleeping pad is generally comfortable and suitable for couples, particularly for car camping. It is described as lightweight and easy to pack, making it suitable for backpacking as well. However, some customers have experienced issues with the pad losing air or developing leaks over time, and the warranty process has been inconsistent for some users. Overall, the sleeping pad appears to be a good option for couples seeking a comfortable and versatile outdoor sleeping solution, but durability and quality control may be a concern.

Bouncing torture

I was hoping this lad would be the solution for the gap between my wife and my sleeping pad. Although it did solve that problem neither of us were comfortable after 8 nights of trying to make it work. Since we weigh significantly different we both need different air pressure for comfort. I was either on the ground because pressure was too low for me or she was sleeping on a rock because pressure was too high for her. Not to mention any time either of us would roll over it would bounce and move the other around. Will not be using this again. Maybe would work for a couple that are the same weight but I’d guess you would still be bouncing around every time the other half moves.

Great sleep for BOTH of us!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This thing is great. Even though my partner and I are rather different sizes, the V design distributed the air evenly so we both had good support and comfort all night long! I'm a side sleeper and didn't wake up with sore hips like I normally do with air mattresses. Very highly recommend. The only slight downside I saw was that the pump/stuff sack took me longer to fill than I thought it would, but that very well could be user error or just being tired from paddling and portaging all day.

Works great for awhile

Worked great for 4 weeks in a row and now, every week camping during RAGBRAI for the past 3 years, it develops a leak in the bonded ‘dimples’ and it’s flat before morning. Moving target repairs, very disappointing.

Pad is great. Pump sack needs work.

Pad is comfortable and durable. The pump sack is small and takes a long time to fill the pad. They should honestly just rip off Nemo’s design

NOT Good

Its not for two people and is very uncomfortable to sleep on. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Loved it but now it goes flat

I bought this a few years ago and I loved it when sleeping alone because I like to roll and so the whole bottom of the tent was padded and I could roll around and I wouldn't roll off of my sleeping pad. However, want to sleep on it with my husband it goes flat every time. We can't find a hole but unfortunately this makes it basically unusable for us. I assume this is because we are both rough sleepers but I don't know

I bought the Klymit Double V Sleeping Pad a few years ago for camping trips with my family, and it has held up great. It retains air well, packs down nicely, and meets our needs without any issues. My wife and I use it together, and despite some reviews mentioning leaks, we haven’t experienced any problems. While it’s a bit large for backpacking, it’s perfect for car camping or setting up camp close to the vehicle. I also tested it in a hammock—despite Klymit offering a hammock-specific pad—and it worked surprisingly well. It fit nicely in a larger hammock and kept me warm through the night, though I did notice a slight slip toward the foot end. If I were to buy again, I might opt for the insulated version for better warmth when sleeping on the ground, but for use in a hammock or cot, this pad does the job really well. Overall, it’s a solid choice for car camping and short hikes into camp, and it even works well in a hammock.

I sleep more comfortably on

I sleep more comfortably on this pad than I do on my own bed. Simply adjust air pressure to the perfect firmness and sweet dreams. Love it!!! -Josh De Vos

Happy with the warranty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The company really kept their words. Lifetime warranty products. My Double V air pad had a leak. They sent me a replacement no question ask. Thank you sending me the new pad. I love the product light weight, comfortable and compact to travel with.

Pretty great mattress, fit snug

Pretty great mattress, fit snug in my MSR 2 man hubba hubba. Only wish bag to pump in air was a bit larger.
