Love the look and comfort, but they wear out fast

These are some of the most comfortable and best-looking wool socks I’ve ever owned — I’ve bought them three times now because I love how they feel and how well they go with everything. But every pair has developed holes in the heels after just one fall/winter season. I wear them mostly around the house and sometimes with shoes, but never on rough surfaces, so I was really surprised by how quickly they wore out. I wish the quality matched the comfort and design, because I truly love them otherwise.
