5.1 Heat Sock delivers targeted warmth for long, cold ski days
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve tried every trick to keep my toes warm, but the Lenz 5.1 Heat Sock is the real deal. The heat zones wrap around the entire toe box so your feet stay warm—not hot spots, just even comfort all day. I pair mine with the Lenz lithium packs and control the temperature through the app. Once you ski with them, you’ll never go back to cold feet again."
When icy chairlifts and midwinter temps threaten our focus, the Lenz 5.1 Heat Sock keeps our feet comfortable from first run to après. Designed for high-performance warmth, these heated socks feature an integrated 360° heating element that surrounds the toe box, creating a consistent layer of heat where we need it most. The Toe Cap technology ensures complete coverage around the front of the foot, preventing cold spots on even the most frigid days.
Built from a technical merino wool blend, the 5.1 Heat Sock wicks away moisture while offering natural odor resistance and soft, breathable comfort. The anatomical knit provides a snug, performance-oriented fit that stays secure in ski and snowboard boots without adding unnecessary bulk. Pair them with Lenz’s rechargeable lithium battery packs and the Lenz Heat app for up to 14 hours of adjustable, app-controlled warmth—perfect for dawn patrol tours, cold lift rides, or snowshoe missions.

The 5.1 is a huge improvement over Lenz's original socks. Heat distribution in the toebox is fantastic and the app is easy to use. Also, the improved cuff holds the battery more firmly. It is a tad thicker than the super thin socks your boot fitter recommends (hey, they need to be able to conceal wires). And speaking of batteries, I disagree with the reviewers who claim to be victimized by not realizing this is a "bare tool" without batteries. It's clearly stated in the description and anyone who has researched these the socky + battery sets should know better than to not look twice if the price seems too nice.

BATTERY SOLD SEPARATELY
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Socks do work great but you need to purchase the battery packs to use them which are pretty expensive as well.

be aware- this is not a complete package
SO while you look at the reviews and the tech description- there is nothing that indicated the battery pack is Separate and will cost you another couple of hundred bucks. A bit of smoke and mirrors I think.

Wore battery assisted boot heaters while skiing and even then my toes were cold. I suffer from poor circulation, and with heat adjustment using my phone, I am able to regulate heat temp while riding on the chairlift. Hard on the wallet, but when it’s cold and windy the sticker shock is forgiven. The size runs just a little big, I wear a size 9W shoe and suggest trying a medium sock on before purchase. Either way, you’ll be happy.
