Perfect
This is my go to water bottle. Great when you need clean water and gets smaller/lighter as you drink the water down. I love taking it even if I don’t need to filter my water. I just take the filter out and it’s a great light weight/collapsible bottle.

Liifestraw Use Case
I use the collapsible squeeze part without the filter for water during long distance walking. It hangs conveniently and flexibly on my pants belt without adding much weight.

Save money, and reduce carry weight and waste
I took it trekking on Nepal and not only saved money on bottled water, I also did not contribute to the waste stream of empty bottles. Also, I saved on water weight to carry since I could replenish from any stream or water pipe. This is the way to go.

Great filter with only one little flaw
We used the filter and bottle while traveling in Cuba to filter our drinking water and not use plastic bottles. The setup worked great to refill our bottles quickly when needed. The only problem I found was when you are removing the top to refill the bottle, it is very easy to unscrew the filter causing cross contamination. Once it went unnoticed till just before using the water. We ended up washing our bottles and starting over but it could have been missed altogether because the filter fell off inside the squeeze bottle and did not get noticed till after we filled another bottle without the filter being attached. Other than that, the filter has good water flow and filters quickly.

Small filter, difficult water flow
I used a Lifestraw metal bottle for a year, however I travel the world for months with only a 'personsl' size bag, and metal bottle requires too much space. So I purchased Lifestraw collapsible bottle, and the tiny filter is difficult to use. Need a big filter with collapsible bottle.

Used it in emergency situations
I used thos a few times in situations where I ram out of water on a long run. Was very helpful. Also, it's peace of mind.

Squeeze bottle
Unless the bottle is almost completely full, it is difficult to drink by squeezing or sucking. I ended up unscrewing the top to drink, which defeats the purpose of the filter.

Good Design -Terrible Taste
Something is up with the plastic used for this bottle. I flushed it many times and could not get the plastic taste (and smell) out of it. After 9 days it still tastes like water sitting in a garden hose. Too bad because otherwise, the design is great.

Taste of water great.
I love the water's taste, design, and weight. The filter does clog quickly and reduces the use time. I now have to do a backflow after every use.
