Got these on sale . Good boot.Will use for long day hikes and back packing. Toe box irritation on one of them. Took to cobbler to expand out toe box area. Worked great. Wore them over Franconia Ridge after that with no issues. I strongly suggest buying ONE SIZE UP

These things are old skool hiking boots with a barely flexible sole. I've probably injured my knee as a result. Never will I ever buy a product like this again unless I'm mountaineering, and even then I'm not sure how these would help.

I have been using and abusing Renegades for more than 20 years because they are the best boots for me! There is minimal to no break-in time; they are comfortable and not heavy feeling; they perform well in tough terrain and over many miles; and I've never had a blister in them. I do have to replace them because of where I take them, and I make no effort to maintain them aside from replacing the in-soles. If I actually followed the instructions, I am sure they would last longer.

I am trying to find a replacement boot that has a roomy toe box and some cushioning and this is not that boot. Even with insole replacements, the sole is really hard and the toe box is way too narrow. I was hoping to love this boot because I really like the discontinued Lady Light.

Very Comfortable boots for hiking. These are the best boots I've had and no blisters or sore spots. I bought a second pair to wear to town when the weather gets colder. Fits true to size.

Bought the same boots three times over the past many years of summer backpacking and year-round hiking. Comfortable, sturdy and home for my feet. I wish the new version was the same, but alas these oldies were the BEST.

I have been in and out of hiking boots for years. I think I find what fits me well, but then something else occurs which moves me on to another pair. I have seen these Renegade's as highly touted, but have passed over them because they "looked' heavy and more like backpacking boots. I decided to try them when I suffered a 3rd severe ankle sprain and really needed some support. WOW. I mean WOW. These boots appear heavy and stiff and for more aggressive backpacking, but actually, they cover the whole range. They are LIGHT and SUPPORTIVE (a very rare mix). Comfortable from the very first step, excellent ankle support; beyond any other hiking boot I have tried. I wear them for flat trails and on up to difficult terrain. Fantastic boot. Nice looking, super comfortable, you cannot go wrong. I can wear them middle of summer and dead of winter and my feet are dry and comfortable. I purchased the Grey Green/Panna which is a beautiful alternative color to brown or grey. Seriously, you cannot miss on these. My normal size is 9 in boots and this was the best fit.
