Why We Like The Marmot Highland Down Jacket
Whether we're using the Marmot Highlander Down Jacket as a midlayer for skiing the resort or wearing it as a standalone piece through town, we use it to stay warm and toasty in brutal, cold weather. The weather-resistant Pertex Quantum fabric defends from light rains and wind, and the 700-fill down insulation is coated with Down Defender to resist water and prevent down soak. Elastic cuffs seal out cold winds, and a high neckline protects our neck and lower face from the bone-chilling cold.

Here's what customers have to say
The jacket is praised for its warmth, comfort, and packability, providing excellent insulation without being too bulky. The athletic, true-to-size fit allows for layering. However, some minor issues were noted, such as the collar sticking out more than desired and the zipper on the left pocket getting caught. Additionally, a few reviewers mentioned the jacket may not be warm enough on its own in extremely cold temperatures, requiring an additional layer. Overall, the jacket is a well-received, versatile down jacket that offers a good balance of warmth, weight, and style.

I got this on sale for $112. It is really nice and warm for a mid layer. I am 6'2" and 180lbs and I got an XL so I can wear a hoody underneath. I like the green color.

The perfect jacket.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight and well designed. I live in Northern Arizona. The changeable Fall an Winter weather can be challenging to predict. I can carry this with me in a stuff sack and not pay the price of excessive bulk or warmth.

Light weight and amazingly warm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great lightweight jacket with plenty of warmth for Chicago winters. I have large shoulders so finding jackets that fit well can be difficult. This has enough stretch in the arms and shoulders so the torso isn’t all billowy. I like this jacket a lot!

Highly recommend
Jacket is great. Warm but lightweight. Pockets are nice and big though I do wish it had an interior pocket.

Just as good as my last jacket.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy the fit and finish of Marmot’s jackets. I had the black version of this same jacket from 2011. While there are slight changes to the zipper seem, the fit is the same. Thank you for being so consistent!
