REALLY good - almost great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this shell, and overall, I really love it, with just a few minor issues that led me to 4 stars instead of 5. I'll start with the positives... the weight of the pro material is perfect. Light enough for effortless movement, yet substantial enough for durability, and it really cuts through the wind. Plus, it has just the right amount of flex to it. The hood has plenty of room for a helmet, even with my gynormous head. It also has considerable length to it - almost to the point of too much for my particular build and stature, but I can see how it will accommodate the taller folks quite well, and it is great to not open up "the back door" to the cold air on the chairlift. On a negative related to the length, though, it makes the side hand pockets sit much lower than I'd like them to. Not a big deal, but I wish they were up a little higher on the jacket. The sleeves are long. I mean, comically long. At first, I was a little annoyed by them, but once I got the cuff closures how I wanted them and tried the cuffs over larger gloves, I found that I don't mind them. And you can move your arms in any direction without them pulling back off your wrists. And finally - this is where I really land on the 4 stars instead of 5 thing - the fit is a bit slimmer in relation to the length of the jacket and sleeves that I would like. Granted, I am a bit stockier than some, I would still think I would have a little more space in the torso in relation to the length. Still plenty of room for layers, but it just seems a little off in relation, that's all. All in all, great shell.

Good materials, so so fit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the jacket recently, and still am hesitant on returning or not. Materials do feel of good quality, and seems to be a good shell to wear on top of other layers. As other users have mentioned, the sleeves are way too long. It does fall on the general aspect on the long side as well for the jacket itself, but it is not off the charts for current ski jacket. Prior to buying it I asked if the jacket would have inner cuffs, which I was told it does. It does not really, so something to consider, as inner cuffs are good especially for powder days. Powder skirt is ok, but compared to other jackets I was surprised it would not have better integration with Marmot pants (i.e. additional tie points other than the 2 buttons in the front). Overall, was expecting a bit more for the price tag and the brand that's behind it.

Great Shell Jacket that Covers Helmet & Neck
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Refuge Pro Jacket - end of season sale. I haven’t worn it skiing yet, but did test it in the elements. I needed a shell jacket with a hood that properly covers my helmet and neck area from the wind and snow. Also wanted something that keeps moisture out when snowing. This jacket does that very well. It’s perfect for what I wanted, and I’ll layer for insulation. This jacket is made with excellent quality and material, and I’m very happy with my purchase. I wore it on a cold wintry day here in MI and it did a great job blocking the elements. I’m 153 lbs, 5’6”, 31 waist, 38 chest, and ordered a small. It’s a good fit but the sleeves are a bit long, and the overall length is a little long, but being short that’s how most clothing fits me.

Nice coat
Very nice jacket. Cuts 100% wind. The material is soft compared to other similar jackets.

Great shell
Looked a little big when I put it on, but fit nicely with layers underneath. I stayed warm and dry during a very snowy ski week

One parka rules them all!
Super high quality and long over the butt. Is truly a mountaineer parka. Wear your insulation under it from a weather to a 800 fill down coat. One parka rules them all!

Uphill Comfort and Downhill Warmth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable jacket - purchased primarily for use on the uphill skinning track. I was initially disappointed in the purchase, because it is fairly heavy. BUT- It proved to be a very good investment, helped me reduce uphill heating because it breathes well and has plenty of ventilation too. I like the pocket configuration and quality zipper closures. Do wish the hood was detachable.

Very happy - warm, durable, fits well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very durable jacket. Slid down a rocky face at Telluride and jacket showed no signs of wear. Took a hard shot from a gnarly tree limb in the right shoulder near the collarbone and figured I must've torn a hole. Nope, nary a scratch. Fits great and I've mostly stopped wearing a neck gator because it's very warm and comfy zipped all the way up.

What is the waterproof rating and breathability rating? I have one of your previous Marmot gore-tex pro shells, I think waterproof rating is 28,000. Wondering how this compares
