The product received mixed reviews. Many found the shoes comfortable and suitable for various activities, praising the sturdy sole, good traction, and stylish appearance. However, some reported issues with the slip-on design, such as difficulty putting on the shoes and poor fit, especially for those with wider feet. The overall consensus is that the product is decent, but the design may not work for everyone.

Comfy and cute for an everyday sneaker!
These are so comfy and cute! I bought them for everyday sneakers and like how they’re neutral enough to go with everything, but still unique with the fun colors. They are not bulky and still appear brand new even tho I’ve been wearing them a ton.

Almost 5 stars
I can't give the full five points, because it is tricky to put this shoe on, but once worn, very comfortable and a quality shoe.

Very good, not perfect for me
These are versatile, supportive and cute. I consistently get compliments on them. A personal not nitpick is that they are one solid opening, not a shoe with a tongue. This is fine at the start of the day, but by the end of a work day ( I’m on my feet a bunch at work) they feel a little constrictive around my ankle. But, they’re a great casual shoe for summer dresses, jeans/shorts and I reach for them quite often.

Not happy.
Not thrilled with elastic around shoe. Just wanted a regular sneaker like I have always gotten & thought that's what I was ordering.

Difficult to get on.
I was so happy with my previous Alpine sneakers, so somewhat disappointed in the elasticized foot entrance on the new model. The Recraft are extremely difficult to get on, especially for someone with a high instep. Once they are on, they are comfortable.

Perfect for hikes or town
I bought this model for our travels through South Dakota and Michigan. So far I've worn them in a dark, damp, slippery cave with ladders and some scrambling. I've worn them on hikes where I need to climb up smooth boulders. I've worn them just walking around town. They look great and have great traction. I'm very happy with them. Only one slightly negative aspect, I have very narrow feet so they have to be kind of cinched up to fit properly. My regular hiking shoes are Merrells and I also have some fashionable water-proof boots that are Merrells. I love all of them.

Downgraded updates to shoe
Purchased to replace my current pair of Merrill Alpine. They are not the same. What I loved about my original pair is totally different with the new one: narrow, can lace up tight, awesome sole (rubber I think?) and supports my feet so well I can walk fast really easily. The new pair is an attached tongue, a little wider, hard to tie tightly, and the sole is no where near the quality or support. I gave them a try and it’s too late to return them. I’m going to continue to hunt for the exact previous version, or will move to a different brand. I think they will be ok. I can’t walk as fast and they definitely aren’t as supportive.

I love these sneakers! They're comfy and have a great arch! These are my 5th pair.

Impossible to put on!
Can’t get my foot into the shoe. It’s more like a tight sock with a sole. There’s no shoe tongue so the foot hole size is one for all. Physically could not put this shoe on. Silly design.
