Love these light hikers.

Perfect fit. Didn’t even have to break them in. Very sturdy and super comfortable. They have become my go to shoe.

Hiking holy grail

After many years in denial, I realized that hiking boots were not for me—too clunky, heavy, and didn’t provide ankle support for me. My life was changed when I got these! They are so easy to wear and have withstood every hike I’ve taken them on. I work in environmental education and I’m hiking over 4 miles a week with stream crossings, rain, major elevation, bushwhacking, etc. My feet are always dry and supported! Also I love the brown and blue color way, it’s one of my favorite color combos and I enjoy the break from gray shoes!

Overall great WP hiking shoes

Overall, these are great waterproof hiking shoes. I had a pair I wore to hike in the Scottish Highlands but realized they were too small. So I ordered another pair in a whole size larger to hike in the German Alps. They were great. Even though they are waterproof, my feet did not get hot in them like they do in Gortex waterproof shoes. The only thing I’d change is more cushion for the balls of your feet and underneath your toes. Those are the parts that got sore or hurt some.

Comfortable

I bought these 2 months ago for a trip to Portugal. I also live in the woods in wnc. They were delightfully comfortable, right from the box. However, I have slipped multiple times on wet surfaces. I am very nervous about wet surfaces now and was coming on to read other reviews. Very surprised other have not had the same experiences. Any ideas on how to get more grip? Also stuck in a torrential rain shower today, the shoes became buckets and really held the water in!

Nice Shoe - Short Toe Box

Everything about these shoes was perfect (style, flexibility, support) with the exception of the toe box. It seemed shorter than typical of this style of shoe. My toes rubbed against the inside of the tip of the shoe. This wasn't going to get better, so sadly, they were returned.

Wide width isn't wide sizing runs small

I've been wearing WP Merrell Moab since 2014 and the quality keeps going down, the sizes aren't the same and the widths get narrower. I was hoping his season there would be an improvement but there isn't. Returning and looking for a new brand 🤷🏼‍♀️

Beware! Run small and narrow!

I have had several pairs of Moabs over the years, but decided to try the waterproof version for our trip to Disney World. I wore them several times around town and on short hikes (< 5 miles) and they felt pretty good. Unfortunately, after the first day trekking around Disney World, I developed a massive blister on my pinky toe. The right shoe was actually pushing my pinky toe under my second toe. The entire toe was a blister. I am consistently a women’s size 10M, which is what I purchased. These proved to not have the roomy toe box like the regular Moab 2 & 3. Maybe a wide would have been better, but it is too late now. I will have to donate them. In the end, I would say size up and order wide because these run smaller than the non-waterproof Moab hiking shoes.

Waterproof failure

Bought these for travel due to the Vibram sole traction on slippery surfaces and Gortex for waterproofing. They performed fine on my trip to Portugal with slippery tile walking surfaces and some rainy days. I did have an epic fail with them on a windy, rainy day on my recent trip to Iceland The shoes became two buckets of water on my feet.I still rated them 4 stars as they are comfortable and provide secure footing on slippery surface

Keep my socks dry!

I’ve worn Moab hikers for the past 15 years.. I needed to get new shoes because my socks were getting wet 😁. The waterproof Moabs that I have now are perfect!
