Comfortable and waterproof
Bought these shoes to have a reliable waterproof and comfortable shoe to tour Ireland in October. The shoes did not disappoint. The shoes were used daily in numerous environments. From walking the streets of Dublin to hiking the foot paths at the Cliffs of Howth Ireland. They will be along with me while touring Switzerland in 2026. I would highly recommend these shoes.

Not as comfortable as Nova 3
I returned a pair of size 12M and re-ordered 13M. They fit snuggly, but I am disappointed by that - a whole size is not reasonable. These shoe are for daily use in colder, wintery months, not for trail running. The comfort of the Nova 4 is worse than the Nova 3 size 12M that I own and love. I have not tested them in wet weather yet, but that is about the only remaining factor that I would judge them on.

Not for me.
These were my first pair of Merrells. They were awesome for 5 days. Day 6 the soles began to lean outward. Soles started coming off in the toes. By the end of day 6 blisters started on the sides of my feet due to the outward lean of the soles. After day 6 I had only 60 miles in the shoes and have began looking to replace. On the bright side the waterproofing worked in the one day of rain the shoes saw

Great hiking shoe
Hiking all day in Dead Horse Point and Canyonlands, Utah. Bought these for my husband and he found them to be very comfortable and highly recommends them.

Nova 4WP... GREAT !
The delivery was very quick...Even better, they fit perfectly and are extremely comfy! I hike between 7 - 10 miles a day and have NO issues with these shoes! I would highly recommend.

Super Duper Lightweight Waterproof NOVA 4!!!
Still Dry! Bought these for my disc golf rounds. Early morning dew to creek crossings and a slight pond slip. Feet stayed dry all day! Great shoe The Nova 4!!!

Pleasantly surprised
I’ve been primarily a Moab shoe fan for quite a long time now. Every now & then I’ll try something different. The Nova 4 just might be my new Merrell shoe of choice. They take a bit of getting use to, and I’ve only been using them for a couple weeks now, but I really like the way they feel on my feet. As mentioned, it’s early but I seem to feel less foot fatigue when walking longer distances. The only thing I don’t like is the laces. I prefer a thicker lace, but that’s a minor inconvenience.

Always wear this brand
Great shoe, comfortable, waterproof and FLAT laces so no need to double tie it. Nothing new to me, in the past 40 years I always worn Merrell sandals, shoes and boots.
