Forget the sidewalk— this is a tricked-out backpacking boot with plenty of extras to help us carry heavier packs on true trails. The mid-cut ankle collars provide more ankle support than Merrells typically do with a rock plate underfoot for added stability and support for backpacking. The waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX lining lets us hike comfortably in wet weather while the Vibram Megagrip outsoles have terrific traction in dry and wet conditions for four-season performance. At the same time, it incorporates the fit of the Agility Peak trail running shoe to keep things comfortable and lighter. New for 2023, this backpacking boot is sure to turn some heads on the trail.

Loved these boots! Comfortable, light, waterproof, a perfect boot for Iceland. Traction was great on slippery terrain. Will be buying these again!

Best boots for me, sad about misinformation
I bought SIX pairs of these because they are the ONLY boot/shoe that works for my feet. I have had one pair for a year and ahalf. I can walk off the trails, which I never could before. I can walk in water. I just did it with one of the pairs that I have had over a year. TWO different people on the chat assured me that Rogues were being discontinued, and they have changed my life, so I needed quite a few pairs in that case. Now I see that they are not discontinued. Too bad I don't get the cool new color, unless I can sell off one of my barely-used pairs (in each of last year's colors) to someone. Women's size 10, anyone? Sigh. I would post a photo of my shoes in the creek, above the laces, but the site won't let me for some reason.

Merrell won me back with the Rogue 4
Wow! Merrell won me over with the Rogue 4. It's agile, nimble, so comfortable, and very rugged. It feels quick underfoot and hugs the foot in all the right places. The metal lace hook at the ankle feels like it won't allow me to tighten down the boot, but so far, the design seems to allow me to leave room for ankle flex while also keeping the ankle stable. I liked them so much I ordered the insulated version for winter.

Amazing low impact !
I swear by Merrell and this hiking boots are the lightest I’ve ever had so comfortable, very cushioned . I’ve had 3 back surgeries and I go hiking a lot . I need to have super good low impact h boots and this top them all !!! Beautiful!
