Why We Like The Trail Glove 7 Running Shoe
Designed for minimalist runners, Merrell updated the fit of the Trail Glove 7 Running Shoe to optimize natural foot positioning and toe splay. A 14mm stack height adds a touch more cushion and support than the previous version, but the FLEXconnect dual-direction grooves in the midsole enhance the fit for uncompromised ground connection and flexibility.

Here's what customers have to say
The shoes are generally praised for their comfort, flexibility, and suitability for various activities. Customers highlight the lightweight, breathable design, wide toe box, and good traction. Some find the latest model an improvement over previous versions, with better fit and cushioning. However, a few customers are disappointed with changes, finding the newer models less "barefoot-like" and comfortable. Durability issues, such as quick sole wear, and narrow fit for wider feet are also mentioned by a small number of reviewers. Overall, the shoes seem to be a popular choice for active lifestyles, though long-time fans have mixed opinions on the recent changes.

Keep on rucking?
I have rucked with a 50lb vest 4 miles 3 times a week. The shoes are very comfortable and my feet and leg pain is gone.

A Match Made in Heaven
Hiking on Madeira in my Moabs and my new Trail Glove 7s. Really love being able to switch them out according to the trail ruggedness. Perfect combination!

Narrow
I prefer the make of 2019 trail glove 5 I purchased, the outsole is better, the shoes are wider, overall looks better. These are narrow, style is not good looking.

Great fit for narrow feet
Great fit for my narrow foot and the toe box fits amazing. I wear them all day and could still go out dancing afterwards!

Wanted to like them
I bought the trail runner as a barefoot shoe. It is too narrow and made my mortons neuropathy to act up. I also was hiking a moderate trail in NH, and because they are in a drought the ground was extra sandy and I slid and fell twice and caught myself on the third. I may hit a rock or root and almost fall, but sliding on a sandy surface without much incline is not acceptable.

Best ever.
Best running and walking shoes I have ever owned. Hands down. Comfortable. Flexible. Supportive. Natural. Attractive (yes, I care about that). Low profile.

Comfort and protection
I bought the Trail Glove 7 not as a trail runner (which I don't do), but as an intermediate step to a more minimalist 'barefoot' model. My goal is to have a barefoot shoe that will fit into foot stretcher shoes in a rowing shell. These have become my favorite kicking around shoes because they were very comfortable from the get-go. They are quite grippy on smooth surfaces.

Size instructions wrong
The sizing instructions said to go half size up. The padding around the ankle in the back caused blisters on a short walk. Very disappointed.
