From alpine approaches to pre-dawn pushes on frozen ridgelines, the Mountain Equipment Switch Pant delivers the balance of warmth and breathability we need for high-output missions. Designed around Octayarn active insulation, these pants regulate body temperature in demanding conditions, trapping warmth while pulling moisture away so we stay comfortable even while working hard. The result is a versatile pant that functions as a stand-alone layer in moderate cold or as an insulating midlayer beneath a shell in harsher conditions.

The lightweight 20D nylon face fabric provides wind resistance, stretch, and a PFAS-free DWR treatment for protection from spindrift and light moisture. Articulated with a gusseted crotch and trim Active fit, the Switch Pant moves with us through steep kick turns and technical high steps. Low-bulk hems slide easily under shells, while a simple waistband with drawcord stays comfortable under harnesses and packs. With hand pockets, a thigh pocket, and a packable, fast-drying build, the Switch Pant is a cold-weather essential for alpine climbers and mountaineers alike.
