Lightweight, Reliable, and Trail-Tested
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
The PocketRocket Deluxe Stove has become my go-to for both quick overnight trips and longer backpacking adventures. What I love most is how ultralight and compact it is—there’s always room for it in my pack, and it heats water fast even when I’m tired or short on daylight. The push-button ignition feels like a true luxury on cold mornings, sparing me the search for a lighter. Overall, this stove impresses with its efficient fuel use and wind performance, making it a must-have for anyone who wants no-fuss cooking on the trail.

Humm? I wonder if this fits....
What I really enjoy about this little monster, is the fact it fits absolutely perfectly the a Fire maple G2 pot. Those little slots in the pots heat exchanger and the Three legs of the PRD are like someone actually designed it with that in mind.

Great performance on every use so far. The stove is tried and true so no real surprises there.

Amazing lightweight stove
Absolutely love this stove! It’s so easy to use and has never let us down. It’s size makes it must for backing packing! We love having the built in igniter, it’s one less thing you must carry with you! If you are looking for a reliable lightweight stove, look no further!

60+ night using it and love it!
This is a fantastic stove. I've used many and this one is my favorite. Its slightly heavier than others I have but like the igniter (never though I would) and it also saves us fuel usage which depending on the length vs canister packed can save on some weight. Really solid stove, a bit pricy in the world of backpacking stoves but extremely happy with it. Really decent wind performance too, though obviously try not to use it in direct wind.

Good stove
It works great. Though my pot with corrugated heat distribution doesn’t sit too well

Disappointed.
Unable to use the stove. Leaks fuel when screwed onto an MSR fuel canister after a few uses. - should be more reliable than that. If the problem is with the canister gasket, they should be more easily available to the consumer as a repair item. While I own other MSR liquid fuel stove products and haven't had issue with them, or their maintenance, a canister stove like this should have bomb-proof reliability.
