Ok but returned
I wanted to like this but ended up returning it. I first tried it on my 30L Coulee (I had to look closely at the photos to figure out how to attach it. There is no video.) It was too much bulk on my chest. Then I tried it as a fanny pack but wasn't fond of it there either. I ended up buying the two Wingman products that go on each shoulder strap.

Wingman
Though it was innovative and well made I had to return it as I needed something different for my travels.

Excellent!!
I bought this wingman to carry a nocs field tube in the round open top section & snacks in the zip, worked great! My ti Grayl ultrapress fits the water bottle section w/ the monocular or fishing gear as well as snacks in the main pouch as well. The stand alone option is super convenient as well, thanks again MR!

Such versatile kit!
It works great by itself for a walk and allowed me to get way more from an all-day hike when used as a sternum strap on a smaller daypack.

Bought this for easy access to my phone & portable charger while on the trail & it exceed all expectations.

If it was just a tad bigger
Cool concept. Needs to be just a tad bigger. I added a loop (Velcro) field inside to accommodate a hook backed holster. Would be cool of this were thought out, from a CCW perspective, ie: draw angle. Some things are nice to have while hiking.

Great for short hikes
Great for short hikes or around town and sightseeing. Handy having water with you and this man's it easy Also Great for a couple hours cross country ski. I use it more waist or over shoulder.

Great pocket, water bottle is an afterthought.
This is a great product IF your priority is not the water bottle. The main pocket is a tremendous improvement over the older model. Three compartments make it really easy to stash wallet, phone, keys, and snacks w/o losing anything or having to shuffle around for it. The entire item is easier to clip into any pack set up and the updated approach lets you rock this as a standalone pocket. UNFORTUNATELY, the water bottle pocket is a problem. the opening fits a 32 oz Nalgene, but the retention method is a joke. That 3mm bungie cord is not enough to secure the bottle, especially since it'll flop around as is. It's a huge mistake considering the elastic opening on MR's own Bottle Pocket and SOCOM Water Bottle Pocket are perfect. I'm going to mod this with 3mm rivets around the opening to create a drawstring that will better secure the bottle.

Great concept, odd design
I really wanted to like this additional pocket. I bought it to mount on my baby carrier backpack and hunting pack. It is not a universal fit, so it does not really fit the baby carrier well. which doesn't make for a convenient carry for my water bottle. I don't use it for long walks but do use it for short walks as a beer holder. As for my hunting pack (which is a Mystery Ranch) if fits well but still is a little clunky. I'm still going to use it and hope to get use to it.

I like it
Very minimal no frills. Holds my water, phone, sunglasses and a mid layer if I roll it up tight

The new wingman has great features. I can even fit a large Nalgene in the bottle holder. I appreciate your attempt to not waste paper with multi language diagrams. But, I do not see how I can attach the wingman to my pack straps. Help

Does it work with a 1 liter Smart Water bottle, even though it is taller than a Nalgene? Will the bottle fall out?
