Numeric Andrew Reynolds 933 blends classic running aesthetics with modern skate performance and impact protection

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"This shoe brings the best of New Balance’s running heritage to skateboarding. The Abzorb cushioning keeps my feet feeling fresh after long sessions, while the cupsole design balances board feel with impact protection. The multi-panel upper has that classic '90s runner vibe, but it’s built tough to handle grinds, flips, and heavy landings. Whether I’m skating all day or just kicking back, the 933 delivers on comfort and style."

Merging iconic running-inspired aesthetics with high-performance skateboarding tech, the New Balance Numeric Andrew Reynolds 933 is a true game-changer. Inspired by the legendary 990 series, this shoe offers a multi-paneled upper with an old-school runner-style toe that oozes '90s vibes. But beyond the throwback look, it’s packed with modern performance features designed to handle the demands of skateboarding.

At the heart of the 933 is New Balance’s Abzorb cushioning, delivering premium impact protection while maintaining excellent board feel. The cupsole construction is thinner at the toe for precise control and thicker at the heel for shock absorption, making it a go-to choice for high-impact skating. A stacked heel design reminiscent of the 993’s Abzorb DTS cushioning enhances comfort, while a potential FuelCell midsole element hints at added support and energy return. Whether you're hitting the streets or just appreciating a well-crafted sneaker, the Andrew Reynolds 933 delivers in both function and style.

Here's what customers have to say

The reviews for this shoe are mixed. Many customers found it comfortable and well-made, with excellent support and cushioning. However, a significant number reported the shoe runs narrower than expected, even in wide sizes. Some had to size up to get a proper fit, while others found the toe box too tight and had to return the shoes. There were also a few reports of quality issues like tears in the fabric. Overall, the shoe seems to be a high-quality option, but the fit and sizing can be inconsistent, especially for those with wider feet. Customers are advised to try the shoes on for fit before purchasing.

Cute, but my feet are killing me.

They are very FLAT, and stiff with no bend. It’s like having a skateboard strapped to your feet, they flip flop like duck feet. Very cute which is why I got them, but so very uncomfortable and unflexible. Probably great if you’re skate boarding though.

NB missed the mark with the "wide" version

Ordered the wide.. they felt just like the standard width. Was so bummed. Left a 1 star review on Facebook. I guess it's back to Converse.

Sharp skate shoe

Comfortable and stylish. I get compliments often. Sweet color scheme that goes with a lot.

Nice shoe

Fit is a bit tight, stiff and not as comfortable as my 993’s. However, great looking shoe.

Too narrow

Absolutely love the style and that colorway but the fit is way too narrow. I have a pair of 608s which I'm a perfect size 8. And in the 9060s I'm a perfect size 8.5. i tried both a size 8 and 8.5 in these 933s and they were so tight width-wise that i couldn't even wear them

Cool kicks

Really cool look and seem like a nice skate or bmx shoe. Ordered the wide and while I have semi wider feet, these were still too narrow and sadly had to return.
